A 15-month-old baby had the experience of a lifetime when his father wasnt paying attention. The baby, who crawled through 300 yards of a heavy wooded area, fell down an embankment and started crawling near a highway and then this.
The entire incident happened in Madison County, Ga. on highway #72. A man on the job as an auto repairman got the surprise of a lifetime when he saw the young baby nearing the edge of the highway.
Bryant Collins scooped up the baby, holding her in his arms. I just stopped and, when I got out, there was a baby .. almost in the highway.
The baby, whose name is being withheld due to her age, crawled through the woods and almost onto the highway before Collins found her.
Collins is being hailed a hero in spite of him being an ex-convict, serving 10 years of his life for manufacturing cocaine. Collin said of his past When I was in prison, I made a very conscientious effort to change, and I did.
Collins acted immediately and took the baby into his arms. The baby sat crying as he took her to safety, so he did what many parents do, he played her gospel music on his smart-phone. Collins said the baby calmed right down.

Great guy and beautiful baby.
[dad’s an idiot, though]
Note they way the media portrays this good samaritan.....
Spell his name wrong
Present him as worker when he is the owner.
This aint no N East rag its local
God knows who he is.
Spot on. If no one else did, that's enough.
LOVE her expression, LOL!
Not afraid but still sizing him up.
BABY: "What you talkin 'bout Willis?"
What bothered me was that his name was Bryant Collins, and the uniform said Collins Automotive. Does he have his own business ..??
If so, the news article seemed rather quick to list him only as an auto maintenance person .. instead of a business owner.
That bugs me.
I think she was trying to hitch a ride out of town.
Thanks for pointing this out. Not sure why the media would that, but it is just wrong.
2. It's common for very young children to go roaming, but I don;t think I've ever heard of one this young before.
3. Why are they still out on the highway?
4. How did he "manufacture cocaine"? Was someone growing coca leaves in Georgia?
The headline made me think she was one of the army of babies crawling through the desert toward the border. /S
Seriously? I know, me too!
A moron wrote this article.
“A 15-month-old baby had the experience of a lifetime when his father...”
The baby is female.
What are they teaching in journalism school these days? Anything?
*wink*
If the word processor doesn’t catch it, it’s “good to go”
A Bigot wrote this article see #3:
go back and read the thing word for word and look at the photos, read the guys shirt and you decide
My 9th baby had red poodle curls, just like that.
She just heard that no-talent hacks can start off as a news reporter at $600,000/yr, so she decided to get out of dodge and head for the big show. She figured that if NTHs can make that kind of money, think what she could make...
