TULSA, Oklahoma - Members of Tulsa's Metropolitan Ministry held a community meeting Tuesday to talk about how Green Country can help with the hundreds of immigrant children being housed in Oklahoma. They said Tulsans are impacted by what's happening at Fort Sill. The governor called the housing of illegal immigrant children in Oklahoma an immigration crisis. Tulsa's Metropolitan Ministry said it's a humanitarian issue. Tuesday's meeting focused on the safety of the immigrant children."This is not a border security issue, these children are surrendering at the border to get out of harm's way," said Drew Diamond with the Jewish Federation of Tulsa.
Hundreds of undocumented children, mostly between the ages of 12 and 17, are packed into barracks at Ft. Sill. The Department of Health and Human Services said they will be there for 120 days.
The concern for everyone is what happens to them after that.
"As we found out today, a lot of them in the long run will end up being sent back home into a situation that hasn't changed any," said parent Deanna Tirrell.

Wouldn’t their emotional well being be better served if they were back with their parents? Send them home.
The Jewish Federation of Tulsa. Line up the boxcars! People are ready to board!
So they are “Fort Sill children” now? It’s too bad the sleazebags in this country don’t care as much about AMERICAN CHILDREN as they do about the invaders’ children. Dumbasses.
“former Tulsa Police Chief Drew Diamond”.....
One would have hoped a former Police Chief would KNOW better!!
WHat can we gleen from their home page?
Christians, Jews and Muslims share a common bond in the sacred stories of Genesis. Using Bill Moyers Genesis: A Living Conversation as the basis for conversation, TMM will offer people of faith a chance to explore, discuss and learn about different theological perspectives from a common and uncommon story of faith, tradition and history. The first group in this study will be meeting on Tuesday afternoons, beginning April 1, 2014. The group will meet from 3:00 to 4:30 pm at Bethany Christian Church at 6730 S. Sheridan. If youre interested in joining this study group, please contact us at PEOPLE OF THE BOOK.

.”This is not a border security issue, these children are surrendering at the border to get out of harm’s way,”
Yeah they travel hundreds of miles first though..
its not as though they just crossed the street this morning..
they crossed whole countries and traveled for days and weeks..
this is not a “humanitarian crisis”
humanitarian crisis” is being used like the words “immigration reform” and “undocumented”
they mean nothing..they are just cutsie uses of words that were never intended to aid or excuse criminal entrance to our county..
