Can I ‘donate’ to my own foundation - and then let the foundation employ me in retirement? Sounds like a tax dodge to me.

Doesn’t hold up..here’s why.

Let’s assume for the moment that what she says is true..she wants the funds donated to the Clinton. The best way to do this is to have the check for the speaking fee made out to the Clinton Foundation..straight line..A to B..so..ask the institutions to produce the check.

If they were made out to her..and she then made a donation..that’s just stupid..because you run into all sorts of potential tax problems....
