Obama fraudulently declares meadow jumping mouse “endangered” in order to hurt ranchers

On May 24, 2014, Wikipedia’s article on the meadow jumping mouse stated:

The meadow jumping mouse (Zapus hudsonius) is the most widely distributed mouse in the subfamily Zapodinae. It may be found from the Atlantic coast, to the Great Plains, as far north as the arctic tree lines in Canada and Alaska, and as far south as Georgia, Alabama, Arizona, and New Mexico.

The meadow jumping mouse is currently not in any kind of danger. According to the IUCN Red list, it is widely spread, common, and not declining throughout most of its extensive range. It is also present in many protected areas, and so does not have any major threats of it becoming an endangered species.

However, on July 3, 2014, the Daily Caller reported:

Feds Declare Mouse Endangered, Family Might Lose Everything

A family’s livestock enterprise in New Mexico is in danger of being completely shut down now that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has declared the meadow jumping mouse to be an endangered species…

The new regulations came into effect from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service last month, and as a result, the U.S. Forest Service is considering installing 8-foot high fences to protect the mouse, which would permanently prevent the Lucero family’s livestock from grazing.

The family is already in possession of grazing permits from the federal government, but the permits become irrelevant in the event that a new species is declared endangered.

The Lucero family has had their livestock graze on the land in the Santa Fe National Forest for more than a century, starting first with sheep, but then switching to cattle in the 1920s.

Obama’s declaration of this animal as being “endangered” is contrary to all scientific evidence, and is just a cover for his war on ranchers.

And that's why all those immigrants landed in Texas, too. Texas has to foot the bill and the Feds already owe Texas a bundle. Obama thinks it's funny.

Obama will be in Texas soon. I hope they boo and protest him and his "Dictatorship" loud enough to be heard round the world.

How about the environmental impact of the fence. Shouldn’t that study take about as long as Keystone pipeline’s?

This is all being pushed to a head...I have felt for a while that the 2016 election would not be held. With the pace of events escalating to a fever pitch, I am beginning to think that the 2014 elections are now in danger.

We may find out soon why the Fed Gov stockpiled all of that ammunition...

His visit to Texas will be carefully scripted.
He won’t see or hear anything but cheers...

“Obama will be in Texas soon. I hope they boo and protest him and his “Dictatorship” loud enough to be heard round the world. “

They should boo him right back to Air force One. He should not be able to even give a speech over the chorus of boos.

I agree...He will be taken directly to Dem haven houses and it will be invitation only event. But more than half of Texas is furious with him.

I wouldn't be surprised if he cancels...period...to avoid the controversy he will cause with Perry....whom he obviously hates.

The Obamas wont worry. They eat Kobe beef--at what? 400.00 per pound or something? Oh--lobster, too.

As for the peons?--let them eat cake! Or simply not eat. It is all the same to the Os.

One of my cats killed a couple of them a few years back. They had longer back legs. Or they might have been mutant mice from the Rocky Flats nuke facility. LOL

Typical eco-enviro-wacko nonsense.

More accurate:

Critters of the southwest are notoriously quick. They are also amused by the human efforts to catch them ... and count them.

You can be walking around, studying (you think) their “habitat” 8 ft away from you ... and “not see one!” ... while at the same time, 3 of the critters just ran -— SO FAST -— across the top of your boot.

The reason that they are “SO FAST,” is because it’s a hostile environment. Even the birds fly low, below the tree tops. Basically, if a critter pauses in the open, it’s “fair game” / “dead meat” -— so they rarely do such a dumb thing.

The mice in particular, are always winning, and their “educated observers” from government-funded liberal[-acada-]media cannot keep up with them.

The government can just declare something “endangered” without any oversight process?

we need to use this as part of a campaign against Obama. We mustn't just bemoan it. People can understand the story if it's presented to them. Unfortunately, we have to find a way of presenting it ourselves. The lying liberal media won't present it.
