It it beginning to look as if the native europeans and their american descendents have lost the plot. I mean, its not just that their birth rate has dropped to below replacement levels, while the birth rate of "minorities" is so much higher, it's that so many people don't seem to see that as being a problem, or simply deny that it exists. A fairly significant proportion are actually prepared to state quite openly that it's a good thing that we are slowly going extinct.

Now if a culture as a whole (not just individuals) has reached that level of reasoning, where it has no concept of self-respect, then it probably is beyond hope. Frankly it should be replaced by a more vibrant up-and-coming culture.
