Despite poll findings, there is still a big audience that isn’t tired of Sarah Palin
The Washington Post's The Fix ^ | July 9, 2014 | Philip Bump

An NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Annenberg poll released on Wednesday reveals something that an exasperated portion of the country likely feels is overdue: The majority of Americans -- 54 percent -- wish that Sarah Palin would step back into the shadows of public discourse. As we noted, that includes over 60 percent of Democrats and almost 40 percent of Republicans.

Meaning that Sarah Palin must constrain her possible media audience to only 46 percent of the population of the United States, and a little over half of her party. Somehow, we doubt she'll starve.

Palin has been remarkably adept at parlaying her 2008 vice presidential nomination into this new career. Or, really, not a new career. Before she was in politics, she worked briefly as a sports reporter for an Anchorage TV station. She's been in front of a camera for longer than she's been on a ballot. So we really shouldn't find it surprising that, lifted up onto the national platform, she's figured out a way to keep from falling off the edge.

Last November, Palin released a new book called Good Tidings and Great Joy. It was pitched as an attempt to remind American of the religious nature of the holiday season, an early entry into the war over religion that erupted with the suspension of Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson the following month.

I was at the book launch in (fittingly enough) Bethlehem, Penn. The remarkable thing about the 700-plus people who waited in line to see the former governor was that they were much more compelled by her as a person than as a political figure...

Who commissions such a poll without wanting a certain outcome? Sarah Palin, at least to my knowledge, isn't running for any political office. Polls cost money to implement.

So what if 54% doesn’t want to hear from her? Obama is the president and more than that don’t want to hear from him!

Mrs. Clinton is one of the most vile people on the planet and she keeps getting propped up by the media, whereas the media is constantly attacking Palin. She’s doing well considering the circumstances.

It’s the Kenyan who has lost his audience. Sarah is going just fine.

That cannot possibly be the writers real name; Philip Bump?
Maybe his parents were not always english speakers, or I’m doing too much ‘word watching’ and not enough reading.

Talk about a Left Wing Conspiracy.

What is this, the third attack column on Sarah Palin this week?

Whatever it takes to get the Useful Idiots to forget the Chaos the Imposter In Chief has foisted upon the Country I guess.

Those are pretty good numbers considering the billions of dollars spent by both Democrats and establishment Republicans to vilify her year after year. I don’t think anyone else in the history of politics has suffered such an onslaught. They’re still trying and she’s still winning. Go Sarah!

This means that 46% like Sarah Palin. Not bad after the years of attacks on her.

And most of the other 54% depend on the federal government for their living.

It was a NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Annenberg poll, and it contained a lot more, but trust the mediots to highlight the person they tell us (have told us for years) is of no significance. Sarah is doing just fine!

Isn’t that the truth! Most people who “hate” Sarah cannot give a reason why. “She’s stupid” or “She’s racist” or some other justification, although when asked for specific examples they cannot come up with any. They just know what they’ve been told; they’re supposed to hate her, so they do.

Amazing! From your link:

Wallace says she was inspired to write her novel after watching Palin and wondering what would happen if a mentally ill person became vice-president. Wallace says she was "consumed by this question."

And then we got Biden!?

(Ms Wallace must be sailing very close to a defamation suit. But maybe she'd like that. It would keep her in the spot-light. )

How does one keep someone from being sworn-in after they’re elected by the electoral college? Bueller? Bueller?
