Scientists Are Dropping Explosives Around Mount St. Helens, Probably Scaring Bigfoots Away

If you're planning to go hiking or Bigfooting in Helens sometime in the next couple of weeks, we suggest you stay away from locations where these 70 something passive seismic stations are located. Scientists are planning to set off a bunch of explosives all around the volcano to learn more about it and get a detailed map of what the volcano looks like 50 miles below the surface. According to Gizmodo:

The explosions are part of a research project called iMUSH, or Imaging Magma Under St. Helens. As Nature reports, the project staff will be hiking through the mountain to set up for the experiment this coming week: "They will drill 24 holes some 25 metres deep, drop in industrial explosives used for quarrying, and refill the holes...The plan is to detonate the explosives in separate shots over four nights. Each blast will shake the ground as much as a magnitude-2 earthquake." The movement of these shock waves through the Earth will let geologists map the underground chambers of the volcano.

“Probably” scaring Bigfoot away?

I guess to liberals, the probably means the science is settled and the debate is over. On to raising taxes to protect Bigfoot.

Don’t worry - the Sasquatches won’t be scared by the explosions since they don’t actually exist. That is all.

Scientists Are Dropping Explosives Around Mount St. Helens, Probably Scaring Bigfoots Away

Every morning I stand on my front porch and wave a stalk of celery to keep elephants away. How do I know it works? Because I don't see any elephants in my yard.

If you're planning to go hiking or Bigfooting in Helens sometime in the next couple of weeks, we suggest you stay away from locations where these 70 something passive seismic stations are located.

The passive sensors are where the vibrations from the explosions are detected, not where the explosives are placed. Duh! That's a place where it will take very sensitive instruments to detect any vibrations... unless the author is saying that's where all the biggest will congregate for safety from the explosions.

On to raising taxes to protect Bigfoot.

And everything from Colorado westward has to be declared the Megapod Reserve and people removed from the countryside. Well, except for Vaio and Aspen... Liberal ski resorts don't bother bigfeet.

Who knows, she does love to take vacations. Correct me, I vaguely recall there was a Bigfoot sighting in Aspen and lo’ behold Moochelle just happen to been vacationing there. So who knows where she is right now.

I know for a fact that Bigfoot exists. The aliens told me so on our way to meet with the loch Ness monster.
