‘True Blood’ Goes Political Again, Shoots Up Ted Cruz Republican Event (Video)

HBO supernatural drama takes aim at conservatives in bloody takedown.

HBO's “True Blood” took another stab at conservatives on Sunday's episode when it left a bloody mess of an event held in Ted Cruz's honor.

It was exactly what the doctor ordered for an ailing Eric (Alexander Skarsgard), who has been infected with the dangerous virus that's killing vampires. He was all ready to meet the true death until his progeny Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) informed him that Sarah Newlin, part of the group manufacturing the virus, was still alive and on the run. That was enough for Eric and he was ready to give chase.

Intel from Eric's other progeny, Willa, and Sarah's sister, Amber — surprisingly a vampire herself (a possible hit at conservatives who are against gay rights yet have close relatives who are gay) — led Eric and Pam to a gala to support Sen. Ted Cruz at the Bush Presidential Library in College Station, Texas.

In the second hit on Cruz and Republicans, Amber warned Eric, “You'll never get in. You're vampires. Security's going to be tight, and they only invited [a-words].”

“We can be [a-words],” Eric replied.

Later, Eric gave Pam a Texas big-hair-and-sequin makeover, to which she said, “Oh my God, I'm a Republi[c-word].”

In the end, the Japanese Yakuza (who are working with the manufacturers of TruBlood) showed up, shot the event to pieces and killed Sarah's parents — but their daughter escaped once again.

I suppose everyone is aware that in this series, "Vampires" are a metaphor for Homosexuals?

And a virus is killing them you say? How astonishing!

Shows like this, "Modern Family", "Glee" exist for the sole purpose of conveying their biased filth. There's no such thing as "just entertainment" and hasn't been for a long time.

While I still have cable, I pull the plug on HBO, Showtime and Cinemax ten years ago. If there are shows worth watching, I'll wait till they come out on Netflix.

Saves money and I get the entertainment I want.

What I find interesting is the subplot for "Vampire Rights"(i.e. Gay Rights) includes the invention of "imitation blood" so vampires can "choose" to behave in a normal human lifestyle and reject the traditional vampiric ways of dining on innocent victims.

In the show, this produces a schism among vampires who choose to remain in the shadows, feasting on humans and those who want to "come out of the coffin", as it were.

For the virulent homosexual lobby who say homosexuality isn't a choice and is a large audience of True Blood, they cannot see the obvious conundrum the show unwittingly presents .

Oh man that's funny! Now you got me thinking.

I always thought that warewolves were biker gangs.

So Faeries....Hmmm are their different denominations of homos?

But they make it obvious with vampires with terms like "out of the casket" and "acceptance" and bringing God into it saying that it was not their choice to become vampires and God would still love them. The rest of the "sups" seem to simply be.....filler to flesh out the fantasy universe.
