And so we allow the wimps, the cowards and our mortal enemies dictate our national character. There is a remnant in our nation, a remnant growing increasingly outraged, that will not forever tolerate cowardice as a foreign policy or greed as a national scourge.

The time is approaching when America will rise up throw out the evil men who sit in our seats of power. We will, once again, become the land of the free and the home of the brave. But not until we have purged our beloved country of the currs that infest it. Their day are, indeed, numbered. They cannot stop us and we will not be defeated.

Great column as usual. WW2 will likely be the last war we win.

I guess you could count Grenada as a win.

One of the key targets in a war is the enemy’s will. Sometimes, it’s just the will of the head guy.
What do you think happened to the will of ISIS and Al-Qaeda when Obama had a couple of bombs dropped and then went golfing? Did they see his dedication to win? They saw a leader who doesn’t give a s**t. Obama’s incompetence encourages cruelty. F**k the Democrat Party and the misery they cause so they can enrich themselves.

I had the privilege to chat with General Paul Tibbetts a few years before he passed away. He knew in his heart that dropping the bomb SAVED possibly MILLIONS of lives.

Wars are won by killing people and blowing things up. Anyone that thinks differently is just being silly and naive.

I sat next to a surgeon at a medical conference earlier this year and I never will forget what he told me. “Surgeons hurt people,” he said. They drill hes through bones and cut organs out of a living body. They stop circulation of the blood through arteries and they amputate limbs. The only way they can keep going is by considering whether what theynare doing is likely to do more good than harm.

Similarly, a military hurts people. It maims and kills and sometimes kills large numbers of innocents as collateral damage. That is the right thing to do, as long as the chain of command has determined that more lives will be saved and less harm done to innocents as a result.

When our elites forget that, we find ourselves in the situation that Greenfield describes so eloquently.

JFK disagreed, freeing [Tomoya Kawakita] in one of his final official acts before his own assassination at the hands of a traitor who had defected to the USSR.

He was sentenced in 1948. The reason he was still around to free was that Ike had commuted his death sentence.

Speaking of Okinawa and the Kamikazes, why is their role almost always ignored when talking about reasons for dropping the atom bomb? Kamikazes were judged an ineffective weapon in the long run but they still hurt us. At one point navy losses were so high due to the Kamikazes at Okinawa pulling all of our ships was considered.

One of the plans called for a naval blockade of Japan instead of an invasion. Working against the plan was the Kamikaze threat. Was one of the factors Truman used in his decision to go ahead with the bomb.

Should be a lesson for all terrorists who use suicide weapons as they know they can count on MSM support and weak leadership in DC. to keep them in business.
