During the Clinton administration, Holder was Deputy AG. A group of doctors sued the administration over violations of Federal law during the development of Hillarycare.
During the trial, Judge Royce Lamberth decided that one of the WH aides, Ira Magaziner, had committed perjury and referred the matter to DOJ. Holder refused to prosecute.
The frustrated judge had very few avenues of recourse. He wound up fining the US government (taxpayers money) the maximum amount for a sanction ($250,000) which the WH was happy to pay since it prevented an ugly trial which would have embarrassed Hillary and Bill.
That’s when Holder came up on my radar. The man has been a political hack and hatchet man for the Dems for decades.
