My 5x Great-Grandmother was a full blooded Cherokee (grand-daughter of Chief Raincrow). Her offspring attempted to receive benefits by signing up for the Dawes Rolls and were denied since my Great Grandfather was a White dude. They were definitely UN-PC Indians as they were staunch fighters for the Confederacy during the Civil War. (This was in Eastern KY in the vicinity of the Hatfield-McCoy feud. In fact, this same Great-Grandmother of mine is also a Great Aunt to the Hatfield-Mounts families. Of course you never hear the fact that the Hatfield's had a little Cherokee in them.) Sorry about the ancestry stuff. I couldn't help it. In reality, I am just a mutt who loves the fighting spirit of real men and not these wimpy, liberal sports journalists.
That's the wrong approach. We should go after The National Association of Colored People, The United Negro College Fund, Black Entertainment TV, The Black Caucus, and any other group that uses old names that are now derogatory. Those names all evoke racist connotations.
How can we, as a society, accept this blatant institutionalized racism to continue any longer? Let's use their ideals to mock them and pit them against each other.
