After insulting Britain by dumping Churchill’s bust, this could have been a very well timed affront to smack him back.

Winston Churchill was a favorite of the Queen’s.

Hilariously uncomfortable moment for the narcissist-in-chief.

When 'God Save the Queen' started, Obama thought it was just part of the sound track highlighting his words. That's what I saw anyway.

Of course he thought it was all about him. He always does. The look on his face when he realizes what was happening is priceless.

There are no gaffes at these events. The slight was intended. No accidents in the palace.

Queen.

Yeah right.

Queens and Kings. Hilarious.

And apparently neither does the White House. How could they not educate this creep in etiquette? He probably blew them off...

You don’t speak over anyone’s national anthem. And you don’t mess with the Queen. She’s a tough cookie.

“In short, they were both thinking a lot about themselves at the time.”

Could not be more wrong. Her entire life and being are dedicated to the crown. Not herself, big difference. Duty and responsibility have been her guiding force all her life.

He, obviously, began the toast/speech at the wrong time - no teleprompter. No way would the Palace have messed up or deliberately set out to embarrass him. That place is run like clockwork.

Yes, he has made plenty of international gaffes where it seemed as though his staff didn’t know protocol or he just ignored it. I can’t believe we still have 2.5 years of this guy.

After the band mess-up, Obama got back at the Queen by raising his glass in a repeat toast to her....then everyone drank, except the Queen...and Obama!

He just set his glass down.

Did anyone notice this?

Obama makes that face when his hemorrhoids flare up. That’s what Reggie Love told the Surgeon General.

And his little speech, stuttering slightly with odd gaps in his delivery.

King Barry is lost without Prince TOTUS.

An official toast doesn’t require you to actually drink. But you must raise your glass.

He might not have hired a Chief of Protocol but there are still plenty of professional staff around who would help him not humiliate himself but I don't think he listens.

I know Hillery doesn't. Before any government official visit to any country or event a "book" is compiled. In it are a list of facts about the place or event and things to say or not to say.

There is no excuse for not reading this information but it is clear they do not.

You bet. Prince Phillip and the Queen are remarkably tough and resourceful.

Bathhouse Barry is the only one who screwed up. The queen, gracious as ever, tried to help him extricate his head from his nether regions, but he arrogantly blew her off. He’s a never ending source of humiliation.

They’ve spent their entire lives dedicated to their country; that builds character.

Also, QE is a stickler. I have a wonderful cookbook by one of her ex-chefs and he goes into detail about her need to get things right. She’s even a little too over-the-top for me - insisting that pancakes be flipped not turned - and standing over chefs to see them do it.

That is quite true. There IS a choice.

His choice was patently disrespectful as he sullenly put down his glass instead of at the minimum, putting it to his lips like everyone else in the room.

It was an obvious snub.

Ya know! He probably was informed of the protocol. I watched that vid several times. He appeared to me to be dumbfounded.

I saw the several looks on his face. I really think he was too fu@#ing stupid to remember what he was briefed on.
