Why America’s Foreign Policy Has Failed, From George W. Bush to Barack Obama, and the Antidote
TheBlaze ^ | 2014-09-15 | Benjamin Weingarten

America’s foreign policy is, and has been driven by fatally flawed, intellectually dishonest premises and principles for more than a decade.

As a result, since Sept. 11, 2001, our goals, tactics and strategies have ranged from wrong-headed though well intentioned, to wrong-headed and ill intentioned. If America continues to fundamentally misunderstand its enemies, let alone honestly define who they are, it risks losing its position as the world’s preeminent superpower, a calamity the likes of which may spell the end of Western civilization as we know it.

President George W. Bush’s crucial first mistake in this author’s view was declaring a “War On Terror.” In announcing that America was at war with a tactic — either due to a genuine inability to identify the enemy or out of political correctness so as to avoid having to identify a foe primarily animated by religion — President Bush’s rhetoric was incoherent at best and obfuscatory at worst.

The antidote is mind our own business and quit playing the world’s policeman. Stop giving a rip what every other country thinks of us. They need us we don’t need them.

When or if we go into battle we fight to win. Kill every one on the other side. Then people will take you seriously.

This is utter nonsense. A decade? Horse feathers! Our foreign policy has been driven by the globalist elite since the end of WWII and the creation of the United Nations. We should have given George S. Patton his head and let him promulgate a war with Russia, arming the fascists against the far greater threat of communism. Count the hundreds of millions of lives that could have been saved had we crushed that threat globally when it first reared it's ugly head. That would have gone a long way towards stopping the ever present threat of liberalism, as well. Because the two go hand in hand. Right to Hell.

War on Islamists.

Kill them all. They have only one goal in mind: Our enslavement.

Which would you prefer, them dead or you enslaved?

Gonna have to kill them all. Every day, everywhere, every generation, until they get the message and stop.

Keep killing them.

Kill.

Dead.

Daily.

Never Stop.

Words do not defeat enemies ... killing them does.

WW2 was carnage ... and it was over.

Korea and Viet Nam were skirmishes to get rid of intellectually sound and brave men ... the kind of man that would continue the USA as a righteous super power.

What foreign policy? This president doesn’t have one. Why else would our enemies laugh at us and our friends are fearful?

Hence my tag line. I do not use it lightly. It is not a joke. I do not believe it is hyperbole.

How about we suspend all foreign aid of all kinds. Then we auction off our aid to the countries who will do the most for us.

Throwing all caution to the wind, our president enabled America’s worst enemies, in some cases actively aiding and abetting them. The Obama administration backed the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, “rebels” in Libya, allegedly executed a gunrunning operation to arm so-called “moderate” forces in Syria — who we knew included jihadists — and in effect aided Iran on its path to nuclear weaponry

THE MAN IS A MOSLEM PURSUING MOSLEM ENDS. What more does Mr. Montgomery need? He lays out the almost certain evidence which itself is only a portion of the total which includes Obama's declaration of Moslem faith when he publicly recited Shaheed in Arabic.

Our weakness in foreign policy can be traced to a loss of confidence in the rightness of our cause. Instead of exporting the redeeming values America has historically embraced, we’ve spent the last half a century apologizing for Vietnam, and pretending that all that bilge about “imperialism” and “hegemony” was true. So we’ve withdrawn from the world stage and watched a steady march of tinpot tyrants rape, pillage, and murder their way across the globe while we were too timid to defend our own interests, let alone do the right thing.

kill them all. Every day, everywhere, every generation, until they get the message and stop being Mohammedan.

The Islamic War began 1400 years ago. It will end when all men are Mohammedan or when none are.

Failure, due to cowardice, to name and identify the enemy.

'Who do the most for us'... AND who THINK the most of us.

Constantly handing out largess to countries who abjectly hate us is as stupid as a parent who perpetually bank-rolls a disrespectful and wastrel child!

Give boots on the ground and first class help to the Kurds...proven allies. Do nothing in the south, that is Saudi’s problem. And if they hit us from that area, the Saudi area, we take out a couple blocks of downtown Mecca, they do it again, we take out more. If the Saudis don’t like it, then they better clean up their own act and their on area of responsibility.

Despite the great clarity on many issues, he fails to address what is to me the most important: What do we do with the plurality (a majority among the elite and the media) who blame America first and who work tirelessly for its defeat every time we are engaged in armed conflict abroad? How are their hands pried from the levers of power and how are they and their execrable propaganda banished from the public sphere?

I used to think elections would still work, but when the left is in complete control of the media and the education system, I'm beginning to doubt that there is a Constitutional solution, short of a convention with the power to draw up a proscription list and impose the ancient Roman penalties of infama.

Mark Levin's term limit proposal-- which would effectively remove most of the existing office holders from Washington is a good start-- but what about the 'masters of the universe' in the tech or financial industries who simply thumb their nose at the law and work ceaseless for a corrupt, fascist corporate crony state?
