GOP Victory Will Launch New Age of Optimism
Radix News ^ | October 25, 2014 | Lawrence Kudlow

The vast majority of political journalists — and I include some of my conservative colleagues — are missing a very big story.

The Republicans are going to recapture the Senate, picking up more seats than most any forecaster expects. And the House GOP is going to add to its majority. But then comes the big story: The beginning of a new conservative revolution.

The idea that nothing much will change if the GOP captures the whole Congress is just plain wrong. The politics and policies in Washington are about to change in a major way.

Obama may still be president. But he is going to be immediately confronted with a flood of new bills that will change the debate on tax reform, energy, health care, education, international trade and regulations.

The GOPe will lose the Senate in 2016. The Ditch Turtle will get nothing useful done.

...and the Republicans are going to do exactly what if this prediction is true?

I remember the "Republican Revolution" of 1994, when the GOP "took over" the country.

It all turned to ashes.

More opiate for the masses. If you think the powers that be are going to allow the Senate and/or the House to be hijacked by practicing conservatives with reformist agendas you are not thinking clearly. Even if a Tea Party candidate should happen to wander onto a ticket wherever he/she can, and they are actually elected, the transformation into reach-across-the-aisle mode will occur once they are seated. We’ve been there before and done that.

The fix is in in Colorado. Kansas is in the crapper. NC is a joke. Georgia is going in a bad direction. And South Dakota is following suite. Meanwhile, the dems pull out the race card and, as usual, the republicans are caught flat footed. Take the Senate?!? Don’t think so.

GOP-e got everything they wanted. Now they can choke on it.

Early voted all GOP.

Why?

Simply because they’re a little better than the RATS.

How much better?

Who knows? We’ll see.

Well Pessimistic Polly, I'm not inviting you to my New Years’ Party. I don't believe a word of it.

I remember the "Republican Revolution" of 1994, when the GOP "took over" the country. It all turned to ashes.

At least here in Texas, the Gingrich-led "Contract with America" ushered in some very good times. KKKlintoon was neutralized and was reduced to a mere figurehead. That allowed the economy to flourish. For me, I was making tons of money at work due to several raises in succession along with investments yielding superb returns. And since I was doing a lot of driving the time when Gingrich's GOP was in power, the 78 cent per gallon gas was a blessing.

I recall the mid-1990s as being much like the Reagan era.

Or more likely a Dem win due to illegal voter fraud will confirm the death of the republic.

The Gopes won’t choke on anything. They are more comfortable in the minority and are working for that result. And Gope puts up Presidential Nominees who don’t want to be President, just want the glory and recognition of the Nomination and lie down, take a fall, take a dive.

There are far too many close races. Democrats tend to win close races. The polls and surveys do not take into account the vote fraud which works only one way.

6% or so of adult non-citizens will vote for the Democrats 2% won't vote for Democrats. And Obama has ordered 9 million sets of work papers to be printed up on 34 million total. That's a lot of aliens and enough in some areas to sway election results.

The Democrats will keep the Senate and retake the House in 2014.

Kudlow likes to kiss the butt of those in power. I stopped believing him years ago.

I’d laugh at this head up a**ness but I’m tired.

Blithering fool. This election does not matter one iota. Not at all. Even if the GOP wins all the close ones that fact that they are close is a disaster. Then there is 2016 which will be a mega-disaster.

Almost no one is addressing the fundamental problems with the country, so I see little reason for optimism, even if the Republicans “win.”

Something. If the Post is correct and 6 to 12% of voters are illegals then the GOP best get prepared for a MAJOR letdown. I don’t recal any of these contested Senate seats having that kind of spread. Once the Klown has 34 million new Rat voters the GOP can plain give up.
