It’s good that there are critics in every debate. Criticism causes one to strengthen and fortify their underlying argument.

But in this case, from Post #9, I have clearly seen some very ‘confused’ thinking to put it politely.

This guy Huldah actually thinks the Founders controlled the budget by spending only in association with enumerated powers. And the first thing to ask, well what if Congress decides to spend 1000% of its tax revenues on the military? I may not have a problem with it depending on the circumstances. But it is ludicrous to think enumerated power spending provides for ‘control’ of spending.

Whereas Mark Levin suggests in one of the Liberty Amendments that Congress balance their budget or limit themselves to spending a certain percentage of GDP which has historically been between 15% and 20% (now about 25%).

Because an amendment that writes the word ‘percentage’ of GDP cannot be monkeyed around with like the phrase “provide for the General Welfare”. Percentage of GDP can still be abused as the definition and computation of GDP can be stretched to some political end, but that can be addressed and accounted for.

So Huldah appears to be not even a third rate critic. He wouldn’t even make the farm team in the minor leagues because his assertions are ludicrous. He’s an embarrassment to Conservatism.

Lol!

Maybe Poli Sci is good undergrad training for law school. But I wouldn’t brag about it. I can’t think what else it would be good for.

Law school requires a steel trap memory, an above average analytical mind and superior writing skills involving critical thinking. I doubt that Poli Sci is the best preparation for law school. History, Logic, Philosophy, Writing are probably superior preparation majors for law school.

"The Americans Will Always Do the Right Thing…After They Have Exhausted All the Alternatives."

--Winston Churchill.

The country is split ideologically with the two sides being mutually exclusive. Individual liberty cannot coexist with socialism. A physical divide is inevitable as it is logical.

<>How many time do I have to say the 10th amendment?<>

James Madison wrote of parchment barriers. They don't work. A senate of the states enforced the 10th amendment until 1913. Without a senate of the states, there is no interest to enforce the 10th.

As a poly-sci whiz, I'm sure you know that.
