Why does it have to be in Chicago? Have Jakarta or Nairobi been given an impartial looking at? There’s nothing in the Constitution that says that a Presidential library has to be within the confines of the US. Of course it might be inconvenient for researchers to have to travel to Indonesia or Kenya, but all the documents can be made available online.
