In the case of Islam against the world (that war), it is NOT a war of culture but a war of spirituality.

Greenfield, being a secular Jew (I presume), has lost sight of the spiritual aspect of war...and attributes this war to culture, not religion.

It is not a cultural war...it is a war between deities...between Right and wrong, Truth and lies.

Winning is not always about beating the enemy. Sometimes it is about maintaining who you are despite it. It is about surviving in gulags and concentration camps. It is about passing on your values despite the totalitarian state growing around you.

Or, if a Mormon church group came in... I would DENY THEM SERVICE as they are one of the largest CULT GROUPS in America ... and as far as I’m concerned Mormons shouldn’t get service from ANY CHRISTIAN BUSINESS WHATSOEVER, ANYWHERE!! If Mitt Romney were to come in to that Pizza place he SHOULD BE DENIED SERVICE because of clearly being a Mormon!

That's just crazy talk. Even the bakers, florists and photographers who are being targeted by gays are not refusing to do any business with gays, they simply do not want to be forced to participate in weddings that specifically violate their religious beliefs. But they do business with them at other times.

Christians should tolerate civil behavior, no matter who is doing it, and reject uncivil behavior, even if it's the preachers' kids who are making out in public, hotrodding in the streets or sneaking drugs. If gay people or mormons are eating pizza and not bothering anyone, there's no point in making a scene. That really would make a Christian look like a bigot in the name of Christ, and I'm not sure He would approve.

This is one of the best articles I’ve ever read, deftly pointing out how Satan plans to defeat us and how ultimately powerless he is.

My God is bigger than theirs. And we win in the end. But it’s still war and many are going to get hurt before it’s over.

"Where is our DeGaulle?"
There are three, in no particular order: Ted Cruz in government, Franklin Graham in religion, and Rush Limbaugh in media.

And Mark Steyn, Daniel Greenfield and Thomas Sowell behind the keyboard.

A Mormon’s teachings and doctrines condemn a person to EVERLASTIMG DAMNATION ... and “that” is worth getting VERY EXCITED ABOUT ... and Jesus doesn’t like those who ARE OF THEIR FATHER, THE DEVIL!!

Those doctrines that Mormons spread are a MILLION TIMES WORSE than a cake at a gay wedding (although I would object to that, too!).

There was only one time in the last ten years that the left was discombobulated by us.

It was the original version of the “tea party” The Tea party before it became political in a party sense. The Tea Party that was everyday people getting out of their easy chairs and taking to the streets without coaxing or big planners.

That scared the hell out of these people. It still would if people would quit looking for one person to serve as a hero and realizing that the real hero is going to have to be themselves.

He is an orthodox Jew, if I remember correctly, and is of such superior intelligence that he can see the political strength of Christian conservatives and not be scornful of it. In fact, it is only the orthodox among Jews who as a group hold fast to conservative family values. He writes often of family and the importance of the Jewish/Christian religious traditions in Western civlization.

Thanks - it's important for all of us to remember we're blessed... we've got great leaders. There are others - too many to mention... but I'll add our freeper founder Jim Robinson ...

If they are not making you enter their temple and listen to their preaching in order to serve them pizza, "...you shall not glean your vineyard, nor shall you gather every grape of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the poor and the stranger: I am the Lord your God." (Leviticus 19:10).

The baker, the florist and the photographer have to go into the gay's place of their gay weddings to set up and deliver their wedding creations. That is the belly of the beast, and I believe they should be able to refuse to participate, just as a kosher butcher should not be forced to serve pork just because he is open to the public. But if Mormons wander into a pizza place to eat and are otherwise sober, clean and quiet, you might have a better influence on them by a pleasant demeanor and a few pamphlets and tracts left around than in trying to shame them or turn them away. Just sayin'. There are plenty of atheists no doubt eating pizza whose private lives are a thousand times more reprehensible than the clean-living, spiritually confused mormons. Can every pizza customer have to pass a morals test before placing an order?

You are either deeply confused, a full blown bigot and not in any meaningful way Christian, or a mole seeking to create division with your outrageous and, frankly, ridiculous claims.
We have a way of separating the wheat from the chaff around here.

Well, let’s use the cake shop example and construct a few similar examples, because it would definitely seem to apply in the exact same way to me ... but, of course, it’s all in the DETAILS and EXACT WORDING of the law.

We’re talking about “delivery” of a product to a set-up that you have “religiously held objections” to ...

A political group is having a meeting where the only topic is promoting abortion. They tell you to look for the signs to the “Political Action Committee for Abortion”. You tell them that it is a violation of your deeply-held religious conviction to not do that to that sort of affair!

OR ... a local Mormon Church (they call it a Stake House) is having their youth group activities at their gymnasium and they tell you to “look for the Mormon church sign and pull into the parking lot and you’ll see it” ... You tell them that it is against your deeply held religious convictions to NOT SERVE a CULT GROUP, and you won’t be doing that!

OR ... we could have a “Gay PAC” ... where they are organizing Gay Politics and strategizing how to push the Gay Agenda upon the U.S. population ... and they order a bunch of pizzas, and tell the business to come to the Gay Organizing meeting at this particular place!

Tthese seem to be in the same category as the bakery who refused to bake and deliver a cake to an event that they said violated their deeply-held religious convictions!

I really can’t see the difference there, except that it’s a different product and a different event ... but it’s the exact same principle!

AND BESIDES THOSE EXAMPLE, if a Christian businessman feels that his deep-held religious principles are VIOLATED ... then “THAT” is all that is needed, and the government and courts need to STAY OUT OF IT!! It’s HIS BUSINESS!!

Culture is not exclusive of spirituality. Our traditional culture is imbued with the truths of Judaism and Christianity. THAT is the culture the left seeks to bring down. It is, in fact, a war against culture and all that culture includes.
Greenfield understand that better than most.

I can see where you would not want to cater any of their religious or politcal events on their turf, and if they wanted to hold religion-related meetings on your turf, you should be able to refuse. I was mainly responding to your earlier post that “If Mitt Romney were to come in to that Pizza place he SHOULD BE DENIED SERVICE because of clearly being a Mormon! I would DENY SERVICE to GLENN BECK, too, for his Mormonism!” If they just want to come in as a family group or couple to eat pizza and leave, they aren’t forcing you to appear to endorse their beliefs.

I operate a retail business. There have been times I have told customers to leave. Typically they have been young white males with a nasty attitude. Sometimes older idiots try to tell me how to run my business and I show them the door. Yes, I have the right to serve whom I choose.

I do not, however, test my customers with a questionnaire about their religious or ethical beliefs. If they are courteous, decent and are honestly seeking my product I am happy to serve them. It is my constant prayer that I will influence those who come to my business with the ministry of Christ. I rarely mention His name. Those who are open to His message receive what they are able. Those who are closed do not. I do not judge.

Sometimes a life is opened to me and I offer ministry in a direct way. More often I seek to build a relationship with knowledge, experience and support for their efforts.

BTW, I operate a pet shop and am known hereabouts as Father Fish.

Were I asked to install a fish tank in a local abortion center or gay club I would have to pray about it. It would, after all, allow me to enter the lion’s den and witness to my beliefs. I am not afraid to face the enemy.

The reason why I said that about Romney is that it’s someone “I KNOW ABSOLUTELY” is spreading EVIL, because I know the doctrines he adheres to.

Now, with the “average Joe” ... I would have no idea, so I can’t just guess by looking at them. But with those examples I gave, the “key item” was the “KNOWING” of what they represented. Once it is known, then it doesn’t matter whether they come to you or you go to them. It’s just as much of a VIOLATION of that Christian’s deeply-held beliefs (or, at least, if “he says so”).

If that same abortion group came in to the pizza place, you wouldn’t know exactly what they represented. BUT, if someone called and said, “we want to reserve a section of your Pizza Parlor for a meeting of “Citizens for Abortion” ... then you would “know” and it would be the same as if you went to their place!

It’s “in the knowing” and not in regards to you going there or them coming to you.

I would be absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to host the local queer club at my shop. They would learn about the miracles of creation and the absolute perfection of male and female relationships in the animal kingdom. If they came to mock and destroy they would be removed from the presence by the local police.
I have a large group of patrons who are obviously queer. Some are my best customers. I am in no way offended by their presence nor am I under any obligation to cater to their sexual preferences.
Were these perverts to ask me to provide a homosexual theme I would very simply would admit that it would be impossible. I am not queer and do not understand the sentiments involved.
And, yes, I would be thrilled to have Glenn Beck or Mitt Romney as customers. they could learn a thing or two.

That would be a personal choice, and it’s up to the owner. And “THAT” is the point ... “IF” a Christian sees that as a VIOLATION of their deeply-held religious values, they should be able to REFUSE TO DO BUSINESS with that person or group, if they determine it.

And as I’ve said before, it’s real simple ... if Christian owner says that he won’t serve someone because of his deeply-held religious beliefs being violated ... THEN ... the government should stay out of it and the courts should stay out of it, and leave him alone. It’s his business.

If we have to pass laws to enforce that freedom for Christian business owners, then DO IT!

This is a great analysis but really... if we are at the end of the Age God’s Word tells us the “left” - Satan’s followers, are going to have their “day” their “moment in the sun” but that’s all it will be - a moment. The coming (and present) persecution will help to refine the Body of Christ. Persecution brings things into sharper focus. It reveals how precious Christ is and how dim the things of this world are. “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time...” I John 2. Our current president has many of the traits the man of lawlessness will demonstrate at the end of the age. I’m not saying Obama’s the antichrist, but he is definitely a “type” of him.

And let us not forget II Cor. 10:3 - 6
“For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.”

True believers will not compromise. They will suffer loss at the hands of this world system that attempts to squeeze them into its mold. In the short run, it may look like defeat - but when Christ returns he will set things right and reward those faithful to him. “...be faithful unto death and I will give you a crown of life.” Rev. 2:10

God is judging America. It’s why the “left” is winning. If you don’t know this you have little real discernment. America had the Light and rejected it. We’re past the turning around point. Yes, the worst could be postponed for a short time but it will still come. 50+ million babies aborted and counting. Every church in America should have marched on Washington, D.C., camped out around the Supreme Court building and not left until Roe vs Wade was reversed - jobs or no jobs, house or no house, business or no business. It was that type of issue - but that didn’t happen. Those that knew better didn’t count the cost and now here we are. The cost will be much higher now. True believers will pay it. Pretenders won’t. It’s time to separate the sheep from the goats. It’s time to glorify God by what’s coming ahead so that the world will see there are those that love Christ more than their own life. “...and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in Judea and unto the utter most parts of the world.”
