In 2013, a seven year old student was suspended from school for chewing a pop-tart in the vague shape of a gun. The story struck a nerve, and made national news. Glen Harlan Reynolds, in a USA Today article, noted that students were suspended for even more ridiculous "offenses". From usatoday.com:
Meanwhile, a 5-year-old girl was charged with "terroristic threats" for talking about her pink toy gun that shoots . . . bubbles. The school suspended her for 10 days and required a psychological evaluation. These insane results are understandable when you consider that the policies they are based on are aimed at indoctrinating children that "guns are bad" instead of being concerned with safety.
And in Maryland, boys were suspended for playing cops and robbers and using their fingers as imaginary guns. Who is frightened by this sort of thing? People who can't distinguish between fantasy and reality.

Here is the summation of the law at the legislature web site. From leg.state.nv.us: Legislative Counsels Digest:When the legislature feels compelled to protect the children of its state from being punished for depictions supporting the second amendment, it shows that the disarmists are losing. But such laws are merely a band aid approach. Educators undermine the Constitution by such actions. Those that do so should not be entrusted with the education of our children. As insanity among the rulers grows so does rebellion among the masses.
What will make the silliness stop is when a teacher or administrator violates this law, and is then held personally liable in the resulting civil suit.
“The school suspended her for 10 days and required a psychological evaluation.”
The school superintendent should be relieved of duty and required a psychological evaluation - for being unable to discern the difference between wielding a deadly weapon and talking about a plastic-and-bubbles _toy_. This is obviously someone not with a strong grasp of reality when it comes to actual dangers, and is thus untrustworthy to assume in loco parentis.
In China children receive paramilitary training with weapons. In the United States children are taught if they see a drawing of a gun on fellow student’s desk to run in a panic and tell a teacher. Which country will produce better soldiers who are able to break things and kill people in order to prevail in armed conflict?
Recently a school in Richmond Va. went on lock down and all kinds of cops called in because it was rumored a student had a little pocket knife in his pocket!!
IOW, liberals/progressives/socialists/leftists/Marxists.
