I can't take Sanders all that seriously as a candidate for one reason that appears to have slipped the notice of the media nomenklatura: Bernie isn't a Democrat. Yes, he caucuses with them, but he isn't beholden to the Democrat party in the way that a machine politician such as Hillary or Warren is. So unless that machine intends to turn the reins over to an Independent, Bernie's going to be a little problem for them.

There will be earnest public asseverations of class and ideological solidarity to be sure, mostly as soma for the masses, and the progressive media will be working overtime to paper over the difference, but the movers and shakers, the money men and the lever-shifters, they are unlikely to be swayed much by enthusiastic blasts of hot air.

Look for a series of media stories proclaiming this problem solved. You'll know by them that is hasn't been.
