Anger Is Making Us Stupid

You'd love Russia today. And again, it's not about blaming Trump...but it damned sure does speak to the notion of whether or not he's the man to turn it around. He only knows the crony way....have you given up on America and to that idea?

I understand the difference between capitalism, socialism, and communism. I lived two years in Communist Poland during the days of Solidarnosc'. I also lived 11 years in 4 Western European countries--so called social democracies. I see where America is headed and it is not good.

It may be too late to turn it around. Americans want all the benefits that European socialism offers, but they don't want to pay European-level taxes to pay for it. The welfare state has become so ingrained in the American psyche that it will take a calamitous event like what is happening in Greece (where I lived for three years) to make people understand that there is no free lunch. In the meantime America continues to decline as we see our power erode globally. The guns versus butter battle is now playing out. Butter usually wins out because it has more constituents. We have already started rationalizing why we need a smaller military and the hollowing out of the force continues unabated.

I see no real energy from any of the candidates for entitlement reform--the main driver of our debt. And we continue to bring in 1.1 million legal permanent immigrants a year (1.24 million in 2015 according to the Census Bureau) who will further transform this country and sap our wealth. Even Trump says he loves legal immigration and wants to make it easier for people to come. Insanity rules.

You have been defending Klavan seemingly missing the main point of his article--namely, to discredit Trump and his supporters. The title of his article is Anger Is Making Us Stupid, Per Klavan:

I’ve been watching Republicans cheer for Donald Trump, the pro-amnesty, pro-government healthcare, friend of Hillary Clinton, and all-around Democrat backer, who, it seems pretty likely, is running for president to bleed off enough Republican support to ensure the Democrat candidate’s election.

Why are Republicans supporting a man who, for all his millions, can’t even buy himself a decent hairpiece? Because he said something that sounded sort of kind of nasty about all the Mexican criminals pouring into the country and then refused to back down when the corporate left pulled its usual Frankenstein mob scene to shut him up.

Why should some sort of nasty-sounding remarks make us support a RINO clown who doesn’t believe in anything we believe and can only help Hillary?

Now you tell me who is angry and who is stupid? For me, it is Klavan and his sophomoric and infantile commenmts.

This is a gaping hole in your brain activity....I say Klavan makes some good points....you come back and so no, he didn’t, and instead of addressing what I said, you think you “prove” something by taking some of the Klavan comments that I did not agree with to begin with.

I really can’t imagine being that illogical. Not sure how you do it.
