In Carly Fiorinas interview with Katie Couric from May, Fiorina went on and on about how if you dont have a room full of diversity when making an important decision, you will not get the decision right. For Fiorina, its all about hiring women (and of course anyone else who isnt a straight white male), and she goes on at length insisting that women in top positions absolutely and necessarily equates to merit; guarantees merit the same thing Hillary Clinton just said, by the way.
I had been inclined very favorably toward Fiorina, especially because of her ability to otherwise handle left-biased media encounters like this with supreme skill, until I saw the politically correct total b.s in this interview.
The remarks to which I refer begin at the 9:43 mark, and continue to 13:00:

Fiorina emphasizes, adamantly, that she believes a true meritocracy can only result when you have women hired in at least equal numbers as men, and when you have just piles and piles of diversity everywhere, and so on. Pu-leeze.
Shes completely stellar in the rest of the long interview, on other important topics. But Im done with her.
You are just finding this out? You obviously never worked for Hewlett Packard
Corporate America’s CEOs have all drunk the diversity Kool-Aid.
WOW, I am stunned to hear this claptrap from her own mouth. Thanks for the heads-up. I would normally have a root canal before watching anything Couric
Whereas, both Ronald Reagan and Ted cruz are of the opinion that the best way to be as president is to get the hell out of our way.
We don't need any more nannies.
Oh yeah. I would ask the guys that brought out our replacement parts what they thought of her and every one of them I talked to hated her and thought she was destroying the company. I knew a couple ex HP engineers who thought the same.
It's scary that such an incompetent can get accolades.
I knew all major corporations are heavy on this insanity, have experienced it myself, but I’d think that as a GOP candidate she’d at least try not to be so completely aligned with the democrat leftist b.s. ! BARF
Yeah. She is good in some key areas. But she is not conservative enough for me to give her my vote.
I have never been a fan because of this an other positions.
>>but Id think that as a GOP candidate shed at least try not to be so completely aligned with the democrat leftist b.s. !
Oh my... Let me tell you a story.
Once upon a time, there were two political parties who were on opposite sides of the political spectrum.
Then Wall St started contributing heavily to both to create a Nanny State so that they could pay workers less and the government would pick up the slack and the cost of this would be funded by productive people.
The two parties kept their old names, but merged into one ideology which was called Progressive, not because it was progress but because it was a Giant Leap Forward towards a state where capitalism exists for a select few and collective misery is for the rest.
Most of the GOP candidates are of this UniParty.
And the people did not live happily ever after.
Whether or not she’s a competent executive isn’t important, it’s the fact that she has internal genitalia that’s important.
HP is in the business of screwing customers by selling them cheap printers and ink that’s more expensive than gold.
Rapacious business model. Hate HP. Therefore, Hate CARLY.
My husband is a systems specialist running several systems at his plant (BTW responsible for that whole New Horizons hoohah last week). He said she practically ran HP into the ground. Not a great leader, I guess.
Retch heave gack
Whether or not shes a competent executive isnt important, its the fact that she has internal genitalia thats important.
If you’ve ever worked in corporate America, you’d know that you must at least pretend you like the taste of the KoolAid if you’re going to make it anywhere. I’m not management, but I’m high up enough the food chain in IT to have to eat the shit sandwiches leadership feeds us while telling them how much I like it.
They pay the bills, and I am always reminded that while they drink up the sickening garbage of their bosses, I can laugh all the way to the bank when the realities of capitalism bite them in their collective asses when departments underperform due to “diversity hiring” and other BS.
“HP is in the business of screwing customers by selling them cheap printers and ink thats more expensive than gold.”
In the middle of the “dot.Com” bubble bust, Carly set HP on a new course by buying Compact/CompuServe thereby setting them up for long term success that they enjoy now. She did “P” off the old guard on the Board of Directors which led to a lot of infighting and her eventual demise as CEO. Time has shown Carly made the right move at the right time.
Accolades.
Credit where it is due,,,,,
She’s well down on my list of favored candidates, but well ahead of a lot of well known “me too, it’s my turn” candidates.
I have, and I can’t get myself to play the game for long. It literally sickens me.
For marketing yes, for company function maybe not.
Outstanding.
