Trump says Tea Party is irrelevant
Canada Free Press ^ | 02/14/16 | Rolf Yungclas

For being so smart, as you say you are, Mr. Trump, you sure are ignorant of what's really going on in the political sphere

On Thursday, Donald Trump tweeted what amounts to his analysis of the latest five years of the Tea Party movement: “Remember, it was the Republican Party, with the help of Conservatives, that made so many promises to their base, BUT DIDN’T KEEP THEM! Hi DT” (February 11, 2016, 10:14 am)

Sorry, Mr. Trump, I don’t remember it that way. It was the Republican leadership in the House and Senate that BLOCKED the efforts of conservatives and those affiliated with the Tea Party from accomplishing their goals in Congress. Conservative House members that resisted the big-spending business as usual of Speaker of the House John Boehner were removed from committee leadership posts, and others abandoned their conservative promises to avoid being punished.

that he said conservatives and not “supposed conservatives” is disconcerting.

but tactically, it is a good swing at Cruz.

I think.

Cruz needs to up his game against this guy.

The Tea Party is somewhat fragmented at this point and there have been Tea Party people who have not represented the cause very well at all.

Judging from my fellow Tea partiers on FR and group I belong to, the “Ted Cruz or I’ll stay home and not vote” attitude has turned me off of the tea party, and the word “conservative” in general, due to it constantly being shoved in my face repeatedly the past few months.

This is ignorant. Trump said nothing, direct or implied, about the Tea Party.

Republicans and conservatives haven't changed $H!T for some time, now, partly because of Bohner, Ryan, and McConnell have assured that.

Trump is completely right.

“Remember, it was the Republican Party, with the help of Conservatives, that made so many promises to their base, BUT DIDN’T KEEP THEM!”

Which is true.

And as usual, once the retards take it through their filter:

“Trump says Tea Party is irrelevant”

Now an actual quote:

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/10/12/donald-trump-defends-tea-party-left-leaning-crowd-love-tea-party/

“I love the Tea Party,” Trump responded when an audience member asked about his thoughts on the Tea Party and the House Freedom Caucus, as well as the possibility of a government shutdown over defunding Planned Parenthood.”

Agreed. The my guy or no vote at all attitude is pretty childish, and the title of conservative comes with a purity/litmus test very few can pass.

Can’t get much more of a misleading headline. Dirty tricks again.

They are. “Taxed enough already”, sounds like a slogan a bunch of gray haired old ladies would come up with. How about “Flooded with Third Worlder already”, or “Send the Jobs overseas and we will hang you already”.

This is a slam of the Tea Party? It’s a slam against RINO establishment.

Tea party supports Trump.

“Tea Party support: Trump 45, Cruz 31”

Man, some candidates and their supporters can’t keep up with Trump’s numbers so all they have left is lying!

He’s 100% right. Some of us remember the Tea Party’s birth, remember the lopsided Santelli Liesmam battles.

The Tea Party started out as a rant againt bailing out Freddie and Fannie. That protest failed. So did every subsequent stand of the Tea Party. How did the budget process go this year under TP favorite Ryan?

“This is ignorant. Trump said nothing, direct or implied, about the Tea Party.’

A cursory look at the article told me the headline is bunk.

The anti-Trump partisans underestimate the difficulty of pulling Trump supporters away from their preferred candidate.

They would better spend their time and resources touting their choice. Oh, wait. That’s what they’ve been doing and Trump has already lapped the field. I just hope they can get their heads clear of their crotches in time to vote Trump in the general election.

My older brother belongs to a ‘tea Party’ group, they are as Revolutionaries as girl scouts, half would back Kasich if he were the nominee.

Paul “Fund Planned Parenthood” Ryan

Scott “Playboy” Brown

Marco “Amnesty” Rubio

Christine “I am not a witch” O’Donnell

I can see why Trump might raise an eyebrow at some tea party candidates.

He wasn’t talking about the folks who follow tea party thinking, but about the party as an effective organization to take on the establishment

There is a lot of the raw energy that galvanized into the Tea Party that is now rooting for Trump to do what the party organization hasn’t done

Take down the establishment by not submitting to their tactics

Do you ever expect to see an electable third party on a national election ballot? The tea party has had a chance to do that and has instead become a goad to the GOP
And look what Trump has revealed about the depth of the rot in the GOP

I’ve lost count of how many misleading headlines are posted here by Cruz supporters.

They’ve learned well from their hero. Truth be damned.
