I've been prepping for many years. I have things in order. I was simply responding to having one's things confiscated which can't be done on things not yet harvested.

there is a shortage of 90% on staple goods such as flour, coffee, sugar, and meat, and 80% shortage in medicines. government seizes control of the economy & property and becomes a disinterested monopoly supplier + universal price and wage controls + central planning and bureaucratic management = assault on causality
assault on causality = economic chaos in distribution and production + anarchy of production
chaos and anarchy = shortages
