He’s polling about 10% in party. He’s way behind Trump.

The head to head matchup numbers make no sense. He can’t even get one in 8 republicans to support him, how can he get a plurality of voters? It’s simple logic.

I’m not as optimistic as you are, but I hope that he’ll create a delegate gap between himself & Rubio...
I agree with you re intelligent people doing what’s right, but there are a lot of low-information, star-struck voters as well...

I’m sorry you can’t see what Cruz has done to stop the efforts of people Trump was donating to at the time he was standing up against them. I get why Trump appeals to you. I absolutely hate the GOPe for being so defiant to the base that they have, by their lack of defiance to Obama’s agenda, produced an environment where a guy who says Planned Parenthood does terrific work, repeating the liberal argument that if you don’t support government health care you want people to die in the streets or that Hillary is someone who would be good to negotiate a deal with Iran. A man who recently said “I’m very capable of changing to anything I want to change to”
Therein lies the real Donald Trump. This may be the third election in which hope and change are elected.

Fine. Make it 18% like a poll posted earlier. Less than 1 in 5 Republicans support him. Let’s pretend he’s the most-conservative-constitionally-sound-god-fearing candidate ever in history. He would get almost no crossover vote. Independents are going to be scared of him, too.

Reagan didn’t get elected by hanging out with kooks like Beck and oulling dirty tricks in the primaries.

The GOPe and progressives are one in the same.

Trump can’t beat Hillary because of his massive negatives and Cruz will chew her up and spit her out. The GOPe hates Trump because he doesn’t tolerate them, but neither does Cruz and Cruz is a genuine conservative.

Stop with the Trump feel goods and support the finest candidate since Reagan, Ted Cruz.

Ted Cruz promised Texans he would go to Washington and defend the constitution and protect America. He did not promise to make friends.

Even when David Dewhurst threw money and mud, Ted stood by his word.

I have never regretted voting for Ted, it was the proudest vote I have ever cast.

If Ted is on the ballot, he has my vote.

Kick back, relax, and enjoy the unmatched voice of Roy Orbison. Gone for 28 years. Loved that guy.

Oh, you mean that when there are multiple candidates in the field only so many pick him as their first choice. By that logic, most Republicans don’t support Trump. One difference is that many Republicans will not vote for Trump in the general election. As mentioned earlier, a poll out today has Trump losing to Clinton & Cruz or Rubio beating her (though within the MOE). I think that Trump can win the general election if Hillary is indicted...otherwise, it’ll be rough.

So a man who calls himself a Christian and then exhibits the behavior of someone who has gone to the dark side since Iowa, and his endorsement by Looney Tunes Glenn Beck, should get my vote?

Nope, I don’t care to waste my time on someone who I once believed in, especially now that he has used sleazy political tricks during this primary season.

Go ask Marco’s supporters to vote for Ted. Or better yet have the voting machines change the name of the person that I really voted for to.......Ted. Oh wait, the machines have already been calibrated to do just that!

It would be rough if either Cuban were challenged on their eligibility — which would happen.

Ruby can certainly be called a Cuban, but I think Cruz is more of a Canadian blend.

Ted got this far this year drafting behind Trump until the field drew down. Now he can’t win the states he was supposed to

I don’t think the chart is accurate. In the top block of choices, Trump should be solid green in every category.

Cruz and Rubio are now trying to act like Trump on illegal immigration, a change already during the campaign.

They both have a checkered history on their actions regarding immigration.

It’s really unfortunate. Cruz has walked the talk and taken the arrows for having done so.

I see this as a once-in-a-generation opportunity to elect a genuine limited-government conservative who values individual liberty, states rights, and loves the constitution. Sad to see we’re squandering it on a man like Donald Trump.

Oh well. We get what we deserve.

Field is still too big...Carson & Kasich should’ve already dropped out, but they won’t. In all probability, Rubio will still not have won a state after tonight & trails by 20% in his home state & yet he won’t drop out either...this all plays into Trump’s hands.

If ever there was a party that deserved Donald Trump, it’s the GOP.

I wish for better for our country, but the GOP.... not so much.
