You would think so, yet at least as of 2013 San Francisco had the best job market in the country despite having one of the highest minimum wages.

this just throws more and more people onto welfare
Meant to say “one of the best”, 10th place to be exact.
RACIST. This cuts off the bottom rung of the career ladder for the least qualified, who are often inner city youth.
They are probably using this to get out a HUGE shillary vote in November.
OR they could be using it for it’s usual reason - union contracts are based on the minimum wage prevalent in an area of region.
Apparently existing longshoremen wages haven’t driven shippers out of business yet.
I will be voting against it. Whether or not I cast a vote for President depends on the GOPe.
“360 Gourmet Burgers”
Regarding robot food service, the bad news is fewer entry level jobs for kids and whatever.
The good news overwhelms the bad. If the machinery is maintained in a half sanitary condition, the food will be healthier simply because there will be fewer employees hacking, coughing, and arm pitting around.
There’s nothing worse than paying for the food, and at the same time looking into the kitchen and seeing some grubby bearded maggot cook that looks like he just changed his cars oil.
I can think of several times when we’ve dined out and had to make an emergency restroom stop within minutes after dining. The worst was at a Deny’s, less than a minute, massive diarrhea.
They should cede the southern half of California to Mexico THEN pass the 15 dollar an hour law.
It would be hella fun to dump Hollywierd and san fransicko directly under mexican authority....
Imagine all the actors and liberals getting their just deserts...
As a Boy Scout we walked 30 miles to save a Spanish mission. Now, I wouldn’t move back there if they made me their king.
It doesn’t matter whether you vote in California or not anyway. Whoever the republican nominee is, even if it is Jesus, will lose in November, so you staying home doesn’t bother me in the least.
The good news is that a lot of the people who vote for this will discover that their new minimum wage will be 0.
It’s nearly to the point that part of the voting process out here will be to submit your completed absentee ballot to the 9th Circuit for “approval” prior to mailing it to the elections bureau.
It needs to include funding for a border wall to force everyone who voted for this to live under it.
No escape for Californians. They need to keep their disease in their own soiled nest.
The concept of "free money" is something only nitwits and fools believe in. The best way to illustrate this is to demand even more.
Since it is all "magic" anyways, might as well make the poor into the middle class with $50.00 / hour.
I wish I believed that, but the truth is that nowadays Californians are D@mn silly.
Hell...why not $98 an hour!!???
Names?
Any place that asks more than “Hi test or decaf” when I order coffee never gets a penny of business from me.
I stopped going to a Wendy’s when they insisted that I say “go biggie” when I wanted a large beverage and fries with my combo meal.
Ain’t my problem they can’t understand what “large” means.
They jacked around with their FF's,,,but I think they rethought that..
Anyway...I have to drive 65 miles to even try a Carl's Jr. burger these days...
I'd rather have my own burger...
