The word and meaning of “Conservative” has certainly become meaningless on FR with the tRump supporters.

If trump is pushing this dirt and slime, then he is pushing it right on top of himself as well as Cruz.

How exactly does this story help Trump?

I’ll tell you how it hurts him. It makes our entire primary look like a ridiculous farce. No one is talking about anything other than this scandal. No policy, nothing.

It is also making a good size portion of the base that Trump needs to win hate him, because that portion of the base believes that Trump is trying to personally destroy a good man.

Do you seriously not see that this is a scorched earth tactic that in the end benefits only the GOP?

You mean the Bible that the Donald was waiving around claiming it was his mothers. If anyone knows about “women other than his wife” it would be the Donald.

Here, I’ve got a question for you.

How does voting for the GOP for the last 25 years make any of us conservative?

Methinks she doth protest too much. Too stridently. Too vehemently. And every sentence she says---that last word is emphasized, is "up". I don't know if that's Valley Girl-speak but I think body language- and speech-experts would note that as having some meaning. People don't usually emphasize the LAST word of every sentence they utter. Wouldn't happen of course but would love to see here say those things while connected to a polygraph.

Her denial actually adds credibility to the accusation.

I don’t know if either Trump or his supporters consider him “conservative”. But I think the word pretty much lost its meaning with the “Compassionate” conservative. See you at the signing, Islam is the religion of peace,I had to crash capitalism to save capitalism etc.

It doesn’t , we’ve been voting for the sell out of America right along with the left, and many on the Right are just as proud of that fact as those on the Left.

I couldn’t have said it better. FR has been overrun with Liberals, unfortunately. Conservatives could not nor would not lower themselves to such base behavior.

It very well could be made up. But I don’t believe Trump had anything to do with it. He’s way too smart for that. It was Rubio and the gopE or the democrats trying to take down two at a time.

If Cruz isn’t doing Amanda Carpenter it’s not because she won’t let him. If I was Heidi I’d demand that loon be kept away from everything Cruz. Especially the Cruz kids’ rabbits.

I didn’t think Johnson “verified” the story was true. He simply identified the two from photographs.

That doesn’t sound AT ALL like a guy who thinks we shouldn’t do it. In fact, it sounds like he’s wishing we’d get our butts in gear and go. In Trump’s book, he talked about how disappointing it was that the first president Bush stopped before finishing the job in Kuwait and Iraq. However, in the town hall in South Carolina, he said that the first president Bush did it right. He’s all over the fresking place about this issue. The key with Donald Trump is that he says what he thinks is popular at the time he says it to the audience he’s speaking to. Regarding Iraq, all indications before the war were that he supported the policy, even if mildly, as he said to Howard Stern. But, in the three days after the war started, there was a 30+ percent drop in public support for the war effort as people started hearing about casualties. It’s quite telling that the only proof Trump can point to to show that he was against the war comes from an article that quotes him at some party as saying the war “is a real mess.” That quote was on the same day that the results of that polling came out showing that the public was turning against the war. Remember that Trump promised that there were DOZENS of news sources that would show his clear opposition to the war before it started, yet he’s never produced even ONE.

Stone doesn't work for Rubio, isn't friends with Rubio, and the Rubio team has been pushing this SEX SCANDAL for several months.

Do try to keep up; diddums.

Trump promised that there were DOZENS of news sources that would show his clear opposition to the war before it started, yet he’s never produced even ONE.

I looked for this promise did not find a transcript of video or the like so I could see exactly what his claim was in context. I found some pieces that were critical that said he claimed there were "25 different stories" backing up his claims, but I did not see exactly what the claim was, which is kind of important to figuring out if what he said was accurate or not.

In fact, it sounds like he’s wishing we’d get our butts in gear and go.

Well he was explicit about that if we went we should go decisively and not announce what we are doing.

But the question of if was not asked of him. He put it on the table. He contrasted what we are doing now by telegraphing or plans, with one of two decisive options. He rejected not being decisive strongly, as nobody could argue with that. Then he soft sold the option he liked by bringing up points that he hoped would persuade without him having to be explicit:

* The people are focused on the economy and not the war.

* We have already blown any kind of surprise on this one and telegraphed what we are gonna do.

* Your (the President's) poll numbers are starting to slide as you focus on this [and might look better if you focus on the economy].

Now I see Trump as a practitioner of the craft of persuasion. I don't think he worked in these three data points for no reason, I think he was trying to soft sell not going in.
