Just doing his job and enforcing immigration law as currently written wouldn’t even take more than an administrative action.
I disagree with the author. Congress is leftists for the most part. They did not bow to Obama out of fear but agreement. I can easily see republicans opposing Trump if we let too many leftist R’s remain in congress.
I totally disagree with EO’s...
We have a Congress, that’s what they are there for...the American People can see who is and who isn’t voting to make America Great Again...the only way to weed these idiots out is to force them to either pass the bills or not...
When you look at what Trump can actually do ALONE and realize that ONE MAN today holds power that no one ever intended and which is literally unconstitutional and un American you are stunned!
Overturn every act of Obama, dismantle the unconstitutional Administrative State, re-assume the Presidential role limited to the executive role and force Congress to own its role as the legislative branch.
“I totally disagree with EOs.”
Executive Orders from a president only affect federal agencies. Any president has a right to issue orders to agencies under their jurisdiction.
I look forward to Trump’s E.O.s. They’ll likely go a long way toward overturning Obama’s disastrous policies and edicts, as well as pruning 30 years of rot left behind by other presidents.
That makes no difference! If they are even remotely left leaning the media will never report it.
Lol, he won’t have any resistance from the establishment. I expect more spending than we got under this regime. I predict zero vetos in Trump’s first 2 years.
Rid the nation off every stinking executive order of BOs. That is step one. Kill illegal alien benefits and penalize employers is step two. Kill Obamacare is step 3. If those three things happen, I am a lifetime trump supporter.
What about rescinding Obama's EOs? That would undo a lot of the damage. A lot of the other easy to accomplish improvement would involve enforcing laws already on the books (like protecting US borders and sending home invaders).
Trump, or any future President, as the President immediately following Obama’s extra-constitutional use of Executive Orders, commit himself to the use of EO’s only for Constitutionally-valid purposes.
Should be: Trump, or any future President, should, as the President immediately following Obamas extra-constitutional use of Executive Orders, commit himself to the use of EOs only for Constitutionally-valid purposes.
Woe be it to the politicians that don’t heed the will of the people after Trump is elected. I foresee a “cleansing” in ‘18.
He could rescind certainly most, if not all EO’s during Obama tenure, and announce that if the congress voted to restore them, he would not use veto power to oppose.
With constituent input, not one would get passed, IMHO.
Another law to enforce woild be the Federal statute that prohibits noncitizens from voting in Federal elections and makes doing so a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail. If he just does that and couples it with a crackdown on sanctuary cities, he’ll have a terrific impact on American elections.
It’s true. There’s so much that could be done very easily if only there was the will by those in government.
BUt when it takes two days and two lawyers to tell you what’s IN the bill... ;=)
Read the whole article. It lays it out very well.
Obamas actions and edicts can all be swept away with the stroke of a pen on the day the new president is immaculated.
