...the lake surfaces are very flat in a spherical way. You wouldn't say that if you were out in 8-10 foot waves that were picking up your stern and entire boat and surfing you into the trough, like I have.,

The Great Lakes are the largest surface freshwater system on the Earth.
Only the polar ice caps contain more fresh water.
- 84% of North America's surface fresh water
- about 21% of the world's supply of surface fresh water
If you don't think that is a prize worth possessing, consider what you would want in a hot, dry desert?
Oil or drinkable, fresh Water?

> Any member of the Council can audit Waukeshas records and withdraw from the agreement if violated.
That seems backwards.

The water is going to be used in the City of Waukesha, within Waukesha County.

Actually it’s the Chicago River. The DP drains into the Kankakee and Illinois rivers.

Isuspect that the surface of a billiard ball under an electron microscope looks rough too.

New York can have its fair share of oil from Texas any time they want to build a pipeline and pay market rates.
And the pipeline wouldn’t need to be very long - Colonial already goes from Texas to New Jersey.

You are correct. I realized my mistake as soon as I posted.
I was somewhat hoping for a haiku correction! Although eliciting a Lurker response is certainly an honor!

Chicago to Des Plaines
Kankakee, Illinois
To Mississippi.
I suck at Haiku.

Since you are the second person not in the Great Lake Basin who has missed the point I am going to assume I did not make my point clearly.
So this time I will use simple words.
IT. LOOKS. BAD. TO. DO. THIS. WHILE. WE. ARE. HAVING. A. DRY. SPELL.
AND. IT. IS. A. BAD. IDEA. TO. MAKE. THIS. KIND. OF. EXCEPTION. BECAUSE. IT. OPENS. THE. DOOR. TO. MORE. EXCEPTIONS. IN. THE. FUTURE.
High and low water levels don't last on the lakes. They go up and down. The next time they go down this is going to be brought up and used to hammer anyone who supported it.
