Donald Trump Dances at Black Church in Detroit
Not my idea of church....whatever...
And wear an outrageous hat.
“Dance” is a little strong. “Sway and clap early before it’s over” is more like it.
For the record, I’m white, but like some Gospel. Trump was nor dancing.
Looks like John Belushi.
More like swaying.
One thing libs hate: The Donald has been enjoying himself unlike McCain, Dole or Romney. He looked very happy swaying to the music. He’s a happy warrior!
Or maybe Dan Aykroyd.
Either way I’ll take six fried chickens and a Coke.
If you haven't been to a black church service, you're missing out on one of the great blessings of life.
I belonged to a predominantly black church for a few years - the music was A.MA.ZING. You felt absolutely surrounded by the harmony and the rhythm, it vibrated through your feet, in your solar plexus, in and around your whole body and spirit. Some of the most amazing times of worship I've ever experienced.
PLUS, the call-and-answer style of preaching is a participatory thing. There is no passive listening to a sermon in a black church, you are IN the sermon, feeling the sermon, agreeing with the sermon, praising God for the sermon.
The emotion/Spirit-movment is communal rather than individualistic, and when the Spirit moves a whole church body like that, you will not forget it.
Wish I could link the church dance-off scene from Don’t Be a Menace in South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood. Classic!

I was raised by a Pentecostal Pastor grandfather. Our church was loud and boisterous but I loved the black churches. We used to switch churches at Revivals.
Agreed. As I’ve been saying from a while I’ve not seen a candidate as happy, optimistic and cheerful on the stump since Reagan.
Much like The Gipper, Trump knows he is fighting for just and Godly causes. He also knows in his heart he will win.
Swaying is not dancing. However, Trump sways very well, lol.
