Nothing oozes hubris like Barack Obama putting on a humble act.
Theres a point where the vanity burns away and youve had your fill of your name in the papers, or big adoring crowds, or the exercise of power, the president tells historian Doris Kearns Goodwin in an exit interview published by Vanity Fair. And for me that happened fairly quickly. Since he no longer revels in his own grandeur, he explains, he wont fall into the trap of making decisions out of ambition or thirsty attachment to the prerogatives of high office.
Five years ago, Obama claimed that his accomplishments compared favorably to those of any president with the possible exceptions of Lyndon Johnson, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. Now he says that if hed been blessed with the genius of an Abraham Lincoln or the charm of an FDR or the . . . legislative acumen of LBJ, his terrific record might have been even more terrific.
So when Obama says that the vanity burns away, what he apparently means is: Nothing changes.

What exactly is his single most talked about accomplishment? Obamacare. Look at the history of how it came to be, look at the havoc it unleashed upon this nation.
Historians will have a lot to say about Obama Legacy, besides just this one monstrous thing. Republicans and especially the so-called leaders in this period will also reflect BADLY.
Nobody is humbler than him.
Just ask him, he’ll tell you.
What, he had a narcissistectomy?
Read Washington’s farewell address
Ah, the ravings of a true narcissist.
The truth of the Kenyanesian Usurpation would fill many volumes.
But it will never see the light of day because BOTH parties wanted the natural born citizen clause rendered moot.
I would (choke) almost believe this IF he would eschew his endless stock of personal pronouns! Add to that his expression of sympathy for Arnold Palmer’s passing? A picture of Himself putting, with Arnold in the background!
His accomplishment - worst president and biggest O-hole in history of United States.
Doris Kearns Goodwin-did that old pinko need help getting up off of her knees after the interview?
Didn’t he also say he would never again take off his shoes to fly commercial?
D@mn! I didn’t know that, but totally believable.
When answering ‘what mistakes did you make’, Obama will deflect the question, instead answering ‘what REGRETS he made’ as in not impose complete gun control.
Hmm, didn’t he just tweet another “memorial” tweet to a dead celebrity featuring a photo of himself?
Methinks the man doesn’t actually understand the definition of vanity.
“I have purged myself of vanity. Now sit there while I tell you a story all about how I did such an awesome thing...”
He’s very proud of how humble he’s become.
Mountain of something he will leave behind. I doubt it will smell anything like legacy.
But enough of what I think about me. What do you think about me.
