Embarrassed to be a Canadian
Canada Free Press ^ | 11/27/16 | Arthur Weinreb

Trudeau is a disgusting piece of work and his statement of the death of his beloved friend Fidel merely enforced that

No matter what your political stripe is, occasionally you find your country’s leader, to use the vernacular “step in it.” Certainly Americans who are not on the far left can identify with that during the last eight years of the Obama administration. But rarely does a leader say something that makes you feel ashamed and embarrassed to have to admit you are a citizen of your country. A lot of Canadians feel that way after hearing what their prime minister had to say about the death of Fidel Castro.

While in Madagascar giving away Canadians’ hard earned tax dollars, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau issued a statement about the dictator’s death. Castro was close friends with Trudeau’s dead daddy, his once druggie mama and the entire family. Trudeau was obviously shaken up by the death.

It’s been pretty embarrassing/dangerous to be a G-d-Fearing, Bible-Clinging, Gun-Toting AMERICAN these past 8 years, too!

Best. Election. Ever. EVER!

Not rare in the United States...at least in the last eight years.

Canada under Trudeau II (or the “spawn of satan”, as he’s more accurately described) will become a weak and snivelling EU wannabe, instead of the independent voice that spoke for freedom under PM Harper.Young Trudeau holds the same dictator-friendly views of his old man, without the intelligence or strength of mind. I see him as less dangerous than his father in terms of his influence on world opinion, but more dangerous in his desire to turn Canada into a tyranny of the “thought police”.

No reason to be embarrassed. You are not responsible for someone else’s actions.

Yup. I’m never embarrassed to be an American; I’m embarrassed that certain losers claim to be.

I was embarrassed the day we elected this buffoon. He’s just a pretty-boy drama teacher - we were complete idiots.

OTOH, Obama has made basically the same statement regarding Castro, only in a more veiled, cowardly way. He didn’t come right out and praise the dictator, but he more or less passed the buck, and certainly didn’t tell the truth, as did PE Trump.

Obama and Trudeau are cut from the same leftist, cowardly, pathetic metrosexual cloth. At lease you guys have some hope on the horizon. I miss Prime Minister Harper - he was an adult and a leader.

They should not be embarrassed at all. The #trudeaueulogies is the best comedy since The Kids in the Hall!

The Trudeaus never met a dictator they didn’t like.

With regards to World War II...

“So there was a war? Tough ... if you were a French Canadian in Montreal in the early 1940s, you did not automatically believe that this was a just war ... we tended to think of this war as a settling of scores among the superpowers.”

Pierre Elliot Trudeau

I didn't know much about Stephen Harper but what I did know placed him in a quite positive light.I also know little about Trudeau but what I do know isn't very flattering.I'm reluctant to criticize foreign leaders but this guy looks pretty suspect to me.

Seems to me that Red Green would make a much better Prime Minister. For that matter Edgar K.B. Montrose would too!

In hindsight, propping up Stalin against Hitler certainly leaves open the question of a “just war”. Living around and working with Eastern Europeans gives one an understanding of what was at stake, and what they lost due to our intervention.

My nieces are Canadian, and a few months ago when I asked one of them (27) why they elected Trudeau she told me it was because he did yoga, so young people could connect with him! I wonder if she was surprised the day he elbowed a member of Parliament in her chest because he was frustrated. I love Canada, but the people live in a bubble that makes them very vulnerable, largely BECAUSE WE FOOT THE BILL FOR THEIR DEFENSE! Every US black mother with kids in a failing school who can't get public transportation to her miserable, underpaid job should realize that our own citizens are paying the cost of these liberal government give-a-ways in these Western countries. To make it even worse, their citizens sneer at us because our kids under perform in school and have to take out huge student loans just to get through college.

Go Trump! It's time to have some really frank conversations with our allies.

I agree. I have always pointed out to friends that Canada lives under the American umbrella of protection, freeing up lots of money for our “free” (and lousy) healthcare. It’s shameful.

I can’t wait until President Trump lays eyes on the foo foo boy, Trudeau. If he were not such a strong man, I’d worry about him laughing so hard he’d keel over.
