Though it seems obvious, it’s worth repeating: The best way to push back on the fake news grifters who’ve taken advantage of the credibility gap between audiences and media is for newsrooms to work tirelessly to restore readers’ confidence.
On Wednesday, the Washington Post inadvertently drew attention to the problem of the media’s cratered credibility when it added a lengthy editor’s note to an article titled “Russian propaganda effort helped spread ‘fake news’ during election, experts say.”
The problem with the Nov. 24 story is that the so-called experts mentioned in the headline include a group of anonymous “researchers” whose background was unclear even to the Post’s reporter. Further, the group’s method for determining which newsrooms are supposedly pushing Russian propaganda is totally unsound.

In other news, barn doors have been securely fastened after all animals escaped.
Nothing has exposed the MSM as a purveyor of fake news as this election has. Charge them with treason and sedition.
All that matters to them is “PIMPING THE MEME”.
They threw it out there, KNOWING it was a lie, hoping it would stick. Most everyone I know, even the snowflakes, are just lowering their heads in shame, or laughing at it.
