Except that this time the media DID tell us what Trump was saying.

They would go into meltdown hysterics over his latest pronouncements, giving him TONS of free publicity that he could not have gotten otherwise.

If the media didn't have conniption fits every time Trump opened his mouth but had rather silenced him like they usually do with people they disapprove of, we wouldn't have known the half of what he was about.

Yesterday Greg Gutfeld had a special, “The Year Of Trump”. One of his panelists gave this as one of the highlights of the campaign. I guess because it clearly showed what Trump was made of and how he would be running.

I am convinced not even Donald Trump thought he would win the election, that Donald Trump ran for President to show the corrupt political class how it is done, and tapped into the vein of fury the majority of the voters held. The vein of fury existed due to voters reacting to the idiocy of the political class, Republicans and Democrats alike, the voters reacting adversely to the obvious looting, corruption, double standards, cult of personality and anti-meritocracy of those in power.

So au contraire mon frere, y’all were not savvy deplorables, many of you voted for the utter fraud who has been in the White House by hook or by crook for the past 8 years.

In my opinion, the big factor was the revelation by WikiLeaks in late July 2016 of the direct link between mainstream media (MSM) and both the Democratic National Committee and Clinton campaign. That right there turned the MSM into essentially the Soviet Union-era Pravda, setting back the entire profession of journalism for decades.
