Everyone on Obamacare is going to lose their insurance anyway when it fails.

All Trump has to do is go on TV and show how much this POS costs and how it is going to fail anyway

THE PEOPLE ARE BEHIND HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Filibuster.

Full repeal can only happen by overcoming a filibuster with 60 votes or by going nuclear.

A partial repeal can be done through reconciliation without having to face a filibuster but anything that a reconciliation bill does can be reversed in the future. Thus, reconciliation is a band-aid fix, not worth much.

You have to have something to replace it.

LOL!!

Cause republican doesn’t have anything to do with conservative anymore for most congressmen.

They belong to pharma, insurance, doctors, and other special interests.

Because it is removing what is now perceived as a freebie “right” by people who believe that government is the source of rights.

As Dennis Prager has pointed out, you can go to rehab for heroin, alcohol, tobacco, gambling, or almost any other form of addition.

But there is no rehab for what becomes perceived as a “right” and into which people believe they worked themselves into dependency.

Everybody’s talking about this as if the only stakeholders are the people who are buying insurance and paying for others, or those who are being given insurance through premium support. They’re forgetting that our Representatives are responsible to their stakeholders, who also include the insurance companies.

If you just whisk away O-care, which has had years to mess up the pre-existing system, the change back to what was before, or to whatever is proposed next will be wrenching. And it will be difficult not only for those scrambling to set up their healthcare, but to the insurance companies who have to deal with both state and federal regulation.

This was all part of the plan, from day one, LONG before Obamacare was actually “passed”.

Before the ink even dried, people were already hired, bureaucracies were set up, buildings were leased, rented and outfitted with furniture, computer equipment, etc.

They wanted to entrench it so deeply that it couldn’t be ripped out without killing the patient. I was afraid of this, but I expected it.

How many times did Trump praise the Canadian health system?

He was never going to repeal it. Just replace it with his version so people “don’t die in the streets.”

You can’t say no one wanted it.

Insurance companies got into bed with Obama, thinking they would get rich. They were wrong.

But now, Obamacare and its medicare expansion, have bought off many low-income or lower-middle class Americans into believing its good for them. middle class folks who have had their insurance destroyed by Obamacare are a more fragmented bunch, but Trump should not ignore them or their numbers.

Jeez, we’re not deaf, ya know.

But to answer your question, The democrats got ObamaCare passed through tricky reconciliation votes and safeguarded this steaming pantload against repealing. It’ll take as much effort and more to get rid of it.

For instance Congressional Funding - as I’ve been told - is guaranteed. Many other FReepers have explained that like an onion - there are many complex layers of ObamaCare that need to be undone piece by piece. We can’t just sit back and wait for it to “implode”

They wanted to make any attempt to reverse it the bureaucratic equivalent of turning around a supertanker.

Just repeal the mandate.

I couldn’t give a damn what happens after that, just starve the beast.

Republicans have been pushing repeal of Obamacare since it was passed

And what has happened

Trump won the White House.
Republicans maintained a huge majority in the House of Representatives
Plus retained control of the Senate and are in line to get 60+ seats in 2018.
Republicans control 32 governorships
Republicans control 67 of 98 state legislative chambers.

All in all Republicans gained 1100+ seats since 2009.

So what the &)*(#@ is the problem? Any idiot can see repealing Obamacare will not only not hurt you politically it will help you big time.

So repeal the dam thing, replace later

Why?!?!? Why do we have to have something to replace something that didn’t exist in our 200 plus year history until several years ago?!

Health insurance is not listed in the constitution.

It may sound cold, but it is not a right.

Repeal it and let market forces do their thing.
