"....You’d think at this point he’d be worth at least $50 million and not care for click bait but apparently not....."

Wow, a conservative FReeper mocking Drudge for making too much money under free enterprise capitalism.

Are listening to what you wrote? You sound exactly like Obama when he told Joe the Plumber that some people just make too much money.

You have every right to think, write and say whatever you like and to make as much money as you want.

But then, so does Matt Drudge.

Geez. If I divorced my wife every time she said something I didn't like, I'd be on my 50th wife by now, instead of being married to the same great gal for 42 years.

Drudge having a headline YOU didn't approve of for, OMG 24 hours!, is a small snapshot of that point in time.

My wife and I have gone more than 24 hours in several cases during our marriage where we didn't speak to the other because we were mad at something they said. But we didn't head to the divorce lawyer over it.

I don't recall seeing anywhere where there is a requirement that Matt Drudge run his online business by having to first get the opinions and approval of some of the complainers, moaners, groaners, whiners and naysayers on FR, before he posts his links.

Ya'll sound like a bunch of liberal snowflakes, who are micro-aggressed because someone said something you didn't approve of before you were able to retreat into your safe spaces.

Any of that sound familiar?

Do I want Drudge to be pro-Trump in his postings? No, I want fair and balanced links so I can think for myself. And so far have not found drudge to omit valid news.

Agreed.........

"Wow, a conservative FReeper mocking Drudge for making too much money under free enterprise capitalism."

I have every right to mock him under our (somewhat) free enterprise (somewhat) capitalistic system. If Drudge isn't providing a value/as much of a value anymore, I can and will criticize and/or stop going to his site. I am of the personal opinion that the super click bait stuff (especially negative to Trump/Bannon/etc) he posts is negative to his brand value over the medium and longer term. I'm not asking the government to interfere with Drudge or tax him more so stop writing straw-man arguments.

Drudge obviously does not care if he loses hits from MAGA supporters, since he is blood libeling them with “Make America Hate Again” editorial.

Why anyone on the right would use his site is beyond stupid.

Yeah, conservatives are SO STUPID, they completely lack any powers of critical thinking. If it’s published at a so-called conservative web site, without exception they take it for the gospel truth. They can’t be trusted to separate the pepper from the fly specks, so no conservative should ever be trusted to read ANY news source that violates the values of ANY other conservative.

Single issue parochialism is the greatest reason why conservatives struggle to win at the ballot box despite the fact that they outnumber avowed liberals by a 3-to-2 margin. There’s a lesson to be learned there. Unless, of course, conservatives really are that stupid.

How would I know what headline Drudge ran? I no longer visit the site.

I read about the headline on a conservative site I visit. The consensus was that it was the last straw. Everyone on the very long thread was moving on from Drudge. The sentiment was strong.

Drudge is not your wife. He’s the provider of an online service. If you like the service, use it. But stop trying to manipulate others into using it. In a free market we all get to decide what products to use. For many, other sites now provide a product superior to Drudge’s. That is our decision to make—not yours.

I agree....a lot of his headlines...or links tend to be focused on trivial things...there are so many outlets for news, he can no longer be considered a go to website...at least he helped expose Bill Clinton as man with a sordid bent.
Long live the real truth. Go to anysite which gives it out.

I still check Drudge. Sometimes I see stuff I don’t like. I don’t need help deciding which webpages to look at.

I thought your comment might have been somewhat tongue-in-cheek but it's hard to tell in writing anymore. I was just spouting off.

No personal affront taken. I can be as sarcastic as the best of them can too. :-)

"....How would I know what headline Drudge ran? I no longer visit the site....."

Only that your comment said, "....Drudge had that as his top header for ~24 hrs....."

You said it. I didn't
