Freeper SunkenCiv used to regularly post fascinating and learned articles on archeologicy and history topics. But no posts from SunkenCiv that I can remember for many months. Does anyone here know what happened?

SunkenCiv strongly disapproved of the GOP nomination of Donald Trump and chose to stop posting here as a result.
Don’t know. Haven’t seen his posts in over a year.

I hope he’s well. Maybe he just got bored. I’m one of the oldest FReepers here with an account prior to this one (I can’t even remember the name. I only remember it was text only) and I have taken long hiatuses from time to time.
*One hiatus was not my idea. I pissed off the Gods That Be.
I, too, enjoyed the articles that were posted. I often then followed up with additional research.
Also, I, too, was not for Donald Trump and thought his candidacy was something of a joke. Things change. I like him now and will support him against the establishment RINO’s any time he needs our help. MAGA. He might be our last hope.
He got a lot of grief for not being a Trump supporter, as I recall. It does seem a bit odd, since he rarely seemed to post anything political.
That site looks to be abandoned.
It is unfortunate that many either left or were banned over the 2016 elections. The wide range of thought and opinion is a loss. To me, anyway.
Well that’s just sad. I recall him being a soft “never-trumper” but I thought he just took a self-imposed timeout. I took a look at your link and what I saw was pathetic. SunkenCiv used to be a prolific and pithy FReeper and he’s now reduced to a clunky backwater vanity site.
Oh well.
I miss his posts as well.
I also enjoyed the posts from SunkenCiv. Hope he comes back. It was always cool stuff.

Yes, remember his posts well, mostly about historical aspects, evolution. He did not appreciate my rebuttals to his posts, called me a troll. Thought he was always posting something unassailably true, which was never the case.
