NRA Commentator Defends AR-15 Rights for Protection
Am Shooting Journal ^ | 11/21/2017 | D Rasso

An NRA commentator and former Navy SEAL stands up for the right to bear an AR-15 despite the negative sentiment that media is portraying the AR.

Former Naval special warfare operator Dom Rasso speaks in the short video from the National Rifle Association. Rasso says if the founding fathers had known about the AR-15 they “wouldn’t have rewritten the Second Amendment — they would’ve fortified it in stone because they knew the only way for us to stay free was by having whatever guns the bad guys have.”

Supporting that the AR platform is accurate and reliable, Rasso also adds, “This firearm gives average people the advantage they so desperately need and deserve to protect their life, liberty, and happiness.”

Rasso makes a point on why you should have a good firearm to protect your family, just as himself while serving as a Navy SEAL. Just because you’re private citizen doesn’t mean you can’t protect your family. See the NRA commentator defends AR-15 rights video here.

No matter the valid points, the leftists and liberals cannot get past the fact that there are bad people out there. They believe that problems are caused by tools, rather than the abusers thereof.

Liberalism is a mental illness. Leftists are enemies of America and the US Constitution, which limits their excesses!

I have fired AR15 (M16var) a lot, and I have no bones against anyone who likes it, but personally, it’s not my cup of tea.

Even though its selector switch is on the wrong side, and it is somewhat less accurate, I would prefer a well built AK47.

Probably the biggest reason is that AR15 is very high maintenance (if you do it right) and is too darned fragile.

I like guns that can take a beat, work well when dirty, are easy to clean in the field, can handle a wide range of weather conditions. But most of all, like every tool, I want the right tool for the right job.

At my age the AR-15 is great. I don’t need a bulldozer of a bullet as I don’t hunt anymore, and the recoil bruises my shoulder due to blood thinners. The pistol grip is great for arthritic hands.

Personally, I prefer a late-model Mini-14. Gotta love Garand action and reliability.
