At the least, POTUS should have just moved him over to another position and moved another one of his people - who had already been confirmed to serve - as AG. Lesson Number One: When Clinton and Obama took office the first thing they both did was to purge holdovers from the previous Republican administrations. Were either of them thrown from office for exercising the first prerogative of a new administration?
Lesson Number Two: The first stunt you left-wingers always pull is to lecture the right on how perilous it would be for the Republican incumbent to interrupt the goals and dreams of the previous Democrat administration by firing or purging holdovers.
