Hello Dr. Soon-Shiong,
Congratulations on buying the Los Angeles Times. Okay, celebration is over. Now down to business.
I do not know what your political orientation is, probably like just about everyone in print media, liberal/leftist, I would surmise.
Not that you asked, but my suggestions would be these. First, cut the roles of these delusional, wishful-thinking, fantasy prone, self-righteous narcissistic lefties that now control the Times. They really are quite horrific.
The Times is so far out of touch endeavoring to transmogrify reality it's laughable. They are supported mainly by their buddies and constituents in the Hollywood Community, The upscale Westside and the People's Glorious Republic of Santa Monica. We need a purge.
The Times is out of sync with the people of Los Angeles (If they care at all, which I doubt). When I talk to people in the Valley (San Fernando & San Gabriel.) most don't like the TImes for their constant drumbeat of liberal smarminess. They're sick of it.
If you continue following this path, the Times will be reduced to a website far quicker than it has too.
Do I ask for you to become Breitbart? no not at all. But at least try to move the paper back to a more rational, centrist position. Let some libertarians and even people on the right have a little space. Don't go right, but move back to the middle ground.
I don't hang out on the Westside, I don't go to Starbucks, nor do I attend movie premieres. The people I know are the average Joes of Los Angeles, and I tell you, the Times, is way out of touch with them.
Of course, with present management, I doubt they care, for they are liberal "true believers" in their self-righteous causes. The type that will readily fall on their swords rather than budge one inch. It gives them their value, their sense of purpose, they would rather see the paper burn.
Doctor, you've heard of tennis elbow, I'm sure. They have back-patter's elbow. They bend their arms so often to pat themselves on the back, that they develop an arthritic condition. Perhaps you can treat it.

and IF IF IF you wish to continue the extreme far leftist editorial slant of the LATimes, please do so in a credible manner.... which is? Put the socialistic/communist advocacy where it belongs.. on the Opinion page. NOT in slanted “news” coverage...

Get real Editors.
Not just computer spell-checkers.
Check the grammar.
Oh, you might check for Who, What, Where, When, Why, (and maybe How).
Put some summary in the first paragraph.
Tell us something NEW (and true?!).

If they would just stick to those and not try to use every story to support the overall narrative.......
Expect the state / city to do something to you...
Your gate's are too high or too low.
The color of your home is wrong...
Your hedge is too long or too short..or too green.
You parked a car in your driveway.
You walked your dog at 0600...
You came out of your house at night.. to check on a noise you heard..and you had a high beam flashlight.
You don't have an electric car.
You don't have solar panels...
You have a 2500 sq ft home...and only two people live in it.
You lit a fire in your fire pit last July.
Etc..etc....
