So we don’t need one because Sessions appointed someone to investigate FISA abuse, who answers to Rosenstein, one of the people who signed the FISA warrants that led to the abuse in the first place. Nice try. Fakenews.

Sessions is a joke.

Why is Hillary’s IT guy, the one that wiped her email server clean when he new damn well those emails were under a preserve order from Congress and congressional subpoena, why is he walking around a free man. He destroyed evidence, destroyed classified docs and lied to the FBI about it and he is as free as a bird. If Sessions or anyone else for that matter was doing any kind of investigation that IT guy is witness #1, he should be in jail facing 30 years behind bars. That would loosen his tongue.

Why is NO ONE investigating how Wiki Leaks got the DNC emails?

Why isn’t Session looking into just who murdered Seth Rich?

““I have appointed a person outside of Washington, many years in the Department of Justice (DOJ), to look at all the allegations that the House Judiciary Committee members sent to us; and we’re conducting that investigation.”

All the work has already been done by patriotic and responsible investigative journalists. Excellent books that lay everything out. All Sessions has to do is follow their blueprints instead of wasting time and re-inventing the wheel.

And how do you know that it’s NOT being investigated. Of course, we don’t know that it is, but we also don’t know it’s not. There’s probably a boatload of stuff going on that we’re not going to know about. I’m sorry AG Sessions didn’t consult YOU first. Color me suspicious, or at least skeptical, but I am encouraged by this and other tidbits being left on the trail...especially McCabe having a Go Fund me account, which I think is hysterical, considering what’s happening to Flynn, arguably as a result of McCabe. IF, and that’s a big IF, there’s as much to look at as WE think there is over the last 8 years, and longer if we take into account the Clinton’s, this will not be fixed overnight. I submit that if investigations, arrests and perp walks started on Jan 21, 2017, it would look like a banana republic political payback and have no credibility. Regardless, it will still be called a political payback but at least it appears Sessions, et al, is doing due diligence.

Sessions isn't doing squat, from another thread

Words have meanings, Mr Huber is not conducting an investigation, he is doing a review of the OIG investigation to determine if a Special Prosecutor will be needed. Big difference.

Let me try to understand this. We are against the special counsel Mueller because he hires his cronies, looks at anything he wants, and can drag things out and out. In this case special counsel bad.

But we do want a special counsel for this, so the investigation can start brand new, he or she can have free rein, and drag things put way past 2020. In this case special counsel good.

Logic isn’t one of your strong suits now is it?

What’s the thread? What’s the source? Be cautious of affirmation bias. Perhaps that’s exactly what Sessions wants everyone to think; i.e., the media, so it is not co-opted or spun out of control before gaining traction. Again, my jury is still out on Sessions (no pun intended), but I think we owe him the time. Trump has publicly lambasted him, but he’s still there and I’m inclined to think it’s part of the show. What I look at is what is going on around this (McCabe lawyering up and Hillary self destructing) and what’s NOT being said (Obama has been very, very quiet with the exception of some Netflix story).

For the obtuse here, realize that special counsels suck. Only those guilty or the deep state would advocate for a process that would drag on to 2020 or beyond.

If the trigger is the IG report reveal and then indictments can flow, wouldn’t it be better just to really really try not to pee your pants for a little while longer.

Oh and reading comprehension, actually read Sessions letters from last fall and this week. Then try basic arithmetic as in one plus one . . .

Well, actually completely false. Go back and fully read Sessions letters from last fall and this week. He is leading teams of investigators, who have been at work all along. He isn’t doing a report, he is reviewing evidence for criminal referral to a grand jury, because, well gee, dang-gum-it that’s what lead US attorneys do.

Or don’t read the letters, and stay uninformed.

A special council is the only way to indict Clinton, Lynch, Comey, Obama, and others no longer working for the gov’t.

Well, no. Any US Attorney can prosecute those no longer working in government. And they actually can and do prosecute people within government.

The special counsel rules in the DOJ are for conflicts of interest within the Administrative branch of government that attract too much Congressional or public attention.

The IG is apparently dragging this out as long as possible.

Exactly what do his 500 Very Special Agents do every day?

Why not issue the humongous report in chapters that can be completed in a more timely manner?
