More than 2.2 million people have discontinued their participation in food stamps during President Trump’s first full year in office, according to the latest U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) data on food stamp enrollment.
The latest USDA data shows that since Trump’s first full month in office in February 2017—when food stamp enrollment was at 42,289,366— participation in the program decreased by 2,257,235 to 40,032,131.
The continued decline in enrollment during Trump’s first full year is on pace with the steady decline in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) participation since 2013.
Before then, participation in the federal welfare program swelled to 47.6 million—the highest amount it has ever been since former President Lyndon Johnson authorized the creation of the food stamp program in 1964. Taxpayers spent $79.8 million on SNAP when enrollment reached its peak in 2013....

Too many are still using them as tit for tat for drugs or anything else for that matter. The person goes in, buys a boatload, then it’s loaded up in someone else’s vehicle.
All Trump has to do is to have the fast food chains STOP offering EBT and just send them food boxes. Trump was on to something with the food and fruit box stuff.

At first I just didn't want the hassle of telling them everything for a few hundred dollars, but later, President Trump has stirred the economy in such a way, we pick up a few bucks here and there and my monthly SS check (which always WAS (barely) sufficient) is now not so uncomfortable.
As a disclaimer, we live, by choice, frugally making things last and making do and God seems to get his tithe (with faith promise missions) every month.
Essentially .... we don't need food stamps.

We live totally on one check, my VA disability. My wife had to leave her good job due to strokes, vision and now an amputation. I don’t what we’d do if anything ever happened.
That’s still about 40 million too many
How many of those are actually physically or mentally disabled? How many are working-age able bodied individuals? How many are American citizens or legal residents? Why did they get rid of government cheese, peanut butter, powdered milk and other commodities? We’re both pretty badly disabled and we’ve never received food stamps.
Today a big woman got Alaskan crab legs, rotisserie chicken, and the jumbo shrimp. All on food stamps while we here work 12 hour days, and pay our bills in order to pay taxes so women like her can just keep on taking, and eating he best whilst we get store brands.
Gas stations too need to stop doing the EBT crap
For gas? Never seen one gas station do that for gas.
