Bet Zach Smith's contract/s has/have.
If so, Ohio State should have exercised it.
Ohio State Must Get Ahead of Scandal, Fire Urban Meyer Immediately
Already, if McMurphy's report is accurate, Ohio State may have violated federal Title IX law, which says that "a college or university that receives federal funds may be held legally responsible when it knows about and ignores sexual harassment or assault in its programs or activities," and its own university policy on domestic violence.
I wonder if Ohio State fans will wear shirts with #C + Urban Meyer’s initials, like the Baylor fans wore #CAB T-Shirts for “Coach Art Briles”
(You understand why I can’t spell that out for Urban, LOL!)
I agree and I’m a woman.
It’s like they look for the biggest name to blame to get more headlines.
The new clause in Urban Meyer's contract that might matter now
The Title IX thing.
Meyer is toast.
I think the Title IX thing is what got Briles, as well.
Why did Meyer sign that contract in April?!
I can’t understand why Meyer would sign that contract, with that specific clause, with this and God knows what else hanging over his head. Did OSU tell him wink, wink, we’ll never exercise it? Or if, God forbid, this comes out we’ll give you a golden parachute to ease your fall from grace...
What did OSU know and when did it know it?!
I’ve pretty much given up on the NFL, and I’m afraid college football is not far behind. It just isn’t the same anymore. I used to love the tradition of it, and that’s pretty much gone by the wayside. It’s pretty much now just a development league for the NFL.
You know as well as I, with Urban there is always drama. There just has to be drama. He was always destined to end in some kind of flameout.
Seriously, when is the last time you’ve ever heard of a coach burning out like Urban did at UF? This from a guy who preached nonstop about toughness. Then a year later he was suddenly fine and ready to take over the Ohio State job.
I agree. I fail to see how employers can be responsible in those situations.
Lawrence Phillips, 1st round draft choice of the St. Louis Rams. Ended up in prison for some type of assault charge and killed his cellmate. Then he commited suicide.
Osborne, Tom Osborne. He pronounces it Osburn.
Apparently, Urban Meyer knew a coach was beating the sh!t out of his wife and still did jack about it.
Thanks. As soon as I saw your spelling I knew that was it.
They deduce that because the two wives were friends that Urban Meyer was supposed to have known? And what if he did know? How does that make him responsible in this? Did the woman ever bother to tell the police? Ridiculous!
The hell it is.
Meyers turned a blind eye. F him.
