Los Angeles approves renaming Rodeo Road to Obama Boulevard

Rodeo no more in Los Angeles, it's now Obama Boulevard.
No, it isn't the world-famous Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, but Rodeo Road in the Baldwin Hills-Crenshaw area that intersects with Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti announced on Twitter Thursday night that City Council had approved the name change.
The change was proposed by Los Angeles City Councilman Herb Wesson in June of 2017, and noted on Twitter that the vote to approve it happened on the anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr's "I Have a Dream" speech.

"I’ll meet you on the corner of MLK and Obama..." LOL. In another city, I once had to bid a job at a school located at the corner of MLK and Malcolm X. The black principal called me before the appointment and told me NOT to park anywhere in the neighborhood but to park directly in front of the school entrance, and to come inside immediately upon arrival.
