Blacks elected Trump and they will reelect the Republican Congress for him

Enlightened self- interest is a philosophy that holds that persons who act to further the interests of others (or the interests of the group or groups to which they belong), ultimately serve their own self-interests.

A review of the results from contested states in the 2016 presidential election proves African Americans’ decision to trust Donald Trump led to his election.

African Americans helped Trump in an active manner by, in some few cases actually voting for him; but far more often in a passive manner by staying home and voting for no one.

In Michigan the records show that Hillary Clinton got 147,000 fewer African American votes than Barack Obama got in 2012. Had she got just 10% more of that group she would have beaten Trump who won the state by 10,700 votes.

In other states where African American voting fell off. Like Florida -4.2%, Pennsylvania -2.1%, Wisconsin -12.3%, and North Carolina -7.1% Trump was either carried to victory outright or significantly helped.

Because Trump was obviously polling African Americans, as well as all other voters, he was able to pinpoint his attacks and completely surprise Clinton with his appeals to African Americans and choice of final stops on his campaign.

Remember the indefatigable Trump finished his last campaign rally in Michigan at 12:30 AM on Election morning.

He knew Blacks were planning to stay home and he knew that gave him a chance to win Michigan.

During the campaign Donald Trump often spoke directly to African Americans.

After pointing to the sad facts that vast majorities of African Americans live in the worst crime infested housing; are forced to send their children to the worst schools, and live below the poverty level for several consecutive generations; he would ask, “What the hell do you have to lose?”

African American voters in several states heard his words and responded.

While few actually “crossed the aisle” and voted for Trump and other Republicans, significant numbers of Blacks decided to stay home and not vote at all.

This helped Trump enormously in several important states.

African Americans clearly acted in their own self-interests.

Because they had been so abused by decades of Democrat broken promises they were wiling to trust Donald Trump would make good on his promise to improve their lives.

This Black enlightened self-interest voting argument was bolstered by some scientific research.

In January 2018, a research group called “Mischiefs of Factions” (MoF) released the findings on its investigation of why the national African American turnout fell 4.7% in the 2016 election.

Among its findings, MoF reported conducting an experiment to test whether African Americans were more loyal to the Democrat party or to enlightened self-interest.

They offered $100 make believe dollars to each respondent and explained they could donate this sum to a Democrat or a Republican.

They then added that if the respondents gave the money to a Republican they would get a kick back of 10% of what they donated to keep for themselves.

When the experiment was concluded an impressive 2/3rds (64%) of African Americans contributed to the “Republican” candidate.

Now that Trump has been office for 18 months things have gotten markedly better for African Americans.

Unemployment rates for African Americans have reached and exceeded all-time lows and Black owned small businesses have increased by 400%.

There is now no need for trust that Trump will continue to help African Americans; they have seen the results.

Likewise, there no any reason to think they will not help Trump reelect a Republican Congress either passively by staying home on Election Day or in a few cases actually voting for Trump endorsed candidates.

A growing number of Blacks are coming to see the cause and effect nature of Trump’s election and improvements in their life.

Another bit of data MoF reported was how to reach African Americans.

They concluded that social media was a most effective way to reach this group.

It was, therefore, not surprising that in early May when Kanye West endorsed Donald Trump, the president’s approval ratings among Black men rose from 11% to 22% in a week; and it has stay at around 20% to even 36% since.

It is worth noting that, as if to prove the point that Democrats would prefer African Americans to “stay in their place,” two recent “polls” showed African American support for Trump at 1% and 4% respectively.

Clearly, Democrats are also fearful of twitter’s #walkawayfromDemocrats movement which now involves lots of young Black men and women walking away from the Democrat party.

The Democrats just don’t know what to do about it.

Another survey of blue collar workers revealed an astounding 85% are satisfied with the economy.

You could talk to working-class Democrats in the summer of 2016 and they’d tell you the same thing. This has been simmering for two decades.

Once you see around 25-percent of blacks voting for GOP candidates in November...the new reality will have arrived.

Blacks didn't elect TRUMP, it was Democrats in PA, WI & MI

You can't expect any Democrat not Obama getting Black support like he did, it's just not going to happen

RE:”Blacks didn't elect TRUMP, it was Democrats in PA, WI & MI”

Hillary won blacks by 80 points, down from Obama’s 87-point margin in 2012.

Yes, only Bill and Obama could pull out the numbers for the Black voter.

The Democrats need the illegal vote.

No self-respecting African-American male voted for Hillary. That’s one of the reasons Trump won.

Wrong Hillary Clinton won Blacks with 88% and Obama averaged 94% wins in each of his elections. BTW that’s a percentage of who showed up. You point falls apart if say just 100 Blacks show up out of a much larger universe and 99 of them vote Democrat. Will you dance around the fire celebrating with the Democrats then?
PS Faux news is not your friend and their polls are terribly fake.

Well, that certainly explains the welfare vote...
