As so often with Dan Rather, the opposite of what he says is true.
If the Republicans don’t get this done, they will get slaughtered in November. Republican voters are in no mood for a noble failure. Losing with class is still losing.
If the Republicans can’t get it done with the House, the Senate and the White House, why would anybody vote for them? If they can’t get this done, they’re through.
Dan Rather is well named. Not this, rather that. He speaks the opposite of the truth.

As usual, he 180 degrees opposite of the truth and facts. If Trump for some reason abandoned Kavanaugh it might signal his demise, but defending and supporting him is what we expect from him. Many people held their nose and voted for Trump because of the Supreme Court. Period.
