Their quality is going down hill.
The last Big Mac was bun, two patties,
a teaspoon of sauce, a smattering of
lettuce, two pickle slices the size of
a dime, bun, and bun. Completely dry
bottom layer. The fries were cold, and
tasted like plastic. They’re a far cry
from being what they were, when I had
my first burger from them in 1960, at
the age of five.
Granted, they didn’t have near the
available menu items they have today,
it was just better quality.

Tanks are heavy, costly and take more storage. Besides, its the CO2 that matters.

The occasional exception where I embrace a product made outside of the U.S.

I have had on occasion a big mac with reasonably freshly ground beef, real produce one it (although the pickles taste like plastic) and decent buns.

They serve cokes that are made with real sugar and taste good.

But then again I get mine in Australia where the food tastes like it did in America back in the 70s.

And by choice I prefer Hungry Jacks (Burger King) as they will add beetroot without extra charge and it just tastes better.

You know, if McDonald’s would cut their menu in half, bring back the heat lamps, the fries cooked in beef tallow and cottonseed oil, and stop being politically correct, they would be having record sales. Ever since they pandered to the Left and got rid of what worked, I’ve stopped eating there.

You know you hit the nail on the head.. All the fast food restaurants did the same thing and the food taste a lot different.

Lately we’ve been enjoying “McQuads”. We order McDoubles off our apps ($1 thru 12/31), sometimes without onions so they are fresh. We get rid of the bottom bun and fold them in half. Not bad for a quick meal. And almost as much meat as a quarter pounder (.20 lb vs .25, pre-cooked)

“medium Coke, please”

Well, since the large is the same price or cheaper than the medium at McDonald’s, anyone who orders a medium is likely not very good with math.

"...the fries cooked in beef tallow and cottonseed oil"

I agree, most people do not know that beef tallow is the secret to non-greasy delicious fries.

“Employees spit in it?”

My brother spent a summer working in a cannery in Washington state. They weren’t allowed to spit on the floor so they spit in the kettles of stuff.

Lol. I used to hook those things up at 7-11, more than 40 years ago.

That said, I do like McDonald. The $1 drink and $1.29 McDouble is a good a deal for lunch as I’ve ever seen.

However, I stopped going to McD’s because ... they’ve stopped using styrofoam cups. I HATE the thin polypropylene cups. The condensate drips all over me, and my computer. Styrofoam is THE BEST for cokes.

Oh no!

But then you figure...there’s so much canned and packaged food/drinks produced in this country, there’s bound to be “additions” to the product, whether on purpose or not.

He asked Coca-Cola to join him on the adventure, and they agreed. The two have been inseparable since.

Ford Motor Co. and Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. had that kind of relationship at one time.
