Polar Vortex’ is an exaggeration concocted to follow the change in terms from ‘global warming’ to ‘climate change’

Because global warming predictions were falling flat, ‘climate change’ was chosen to brand the push for global taxation and the phrase ‘polar vortex’ provided the new fiction of driving destruction of the Earth through weather extremes never seen before. It is a gross lie.

The liars never stop. The ringleaders of the Global Warming Scam came up with a change to the lie, that even if warming was not panning out as predicted, something was leading to ‘climate extremes’, hence a new monster in the closet was pinned as the ‘polar vortex’.

Ohhhhh! scaring me with “polar vortex”. Must be real bad! “vortex” - scary word. We all gonna die! Gotta raise the tax on carbon so the polar vortex go away!

No mention of the polar vortex lat year. I believe it still is nothing more than the position of ye ole jet stream.

Just listen to the video. The scientist agrees with you.

Listen to the video. This guy is the biggest global warming denier I've ever heard.

What’s the difference between the polar vortex and a low pressure system?

True. I have watched them change the names of weather related phenomena to make it sound more earth-shattering. Another of my pet peeves is the naming of simple winter storms. What's next? We'll start naming every rain shower? How about naming every sunny day that has a temperature over 85 degrees?

The Left, in collusion with the Communist Press, are making the American people more stupid by the hour.

Yep - kind of ironic that all the “Climate Change/Globull Warming” movies center around a deep freeze and none seem to show all the snow and ice gone and penguins sweating to death....

He read the farmers almanac. They are predicting a harsh winter. Leftist can’t even use their own people’s findings because they’re always wrong.

Bastardi has been touting a cold Jan to March for some time. Says it is not a polar vortex just a normal situation due to the weather systems set up.

I love Joe! He explains things so anyone can understand them. Well, except Liberals, LOL! He shows you on a world map; ‘If THIS happens HERE, THIS is going to be the result over HERE.’

I’m bracing for cold and snowy this season - we had a REALLY cold Fall; every day of November was BELOW average, but December has been so mild (in the 40’s!) we’ve put the finishing touches on our metal roof installation that we thought would have to wait again until spring. :)

Please, no ice storms, though! I want lots of snow - my snowshoes haven’t been out for two years due to the lack of it. No fun. :(

"What’s the difference between the polar vortex and a low pressure system?"

There are two important scientific principles we learned in school: The earth rotates once a day, and warm air rises (with the associated fact that cold air falls). The warm air at the equator is mostly moving at about 1000 mph, the speed of the earth's surface there. As this warm air rises and cools, it doesn't completely stop moving before it gets to the poles which aren't moving at all, they just swivel about, once a day. This means that the cold air falling at the poles is still spinning a bit as it falls. It's this spinning air at the poles that has been given the scary name: "Polar Vortex".

The air doesn't actually just rise at the equator, and fall at the poles. There are some complicated twists and turns along the way. These twists and turns give rise to jet streams, high pressure systems, and low pressure systems, and other things that we call "weather". A significant driving force in weather, though is this changing speed of the earth's surface between the equator and the poles, and the rise and fall of air because of temperature differences. Air isn't totally well behaved, either. It gets pushed and pulled about due to these competing forces, and the Polar Vortex doesn't always stay centered over the poles. It's been described as a yarmulke thats not pinned down properly. It can slide about on your head, but rarely comes down to cover your nose. When it hits your city, though, you can count of the fact that Global Warming will be blamed.
