Mitt Romney: Hillary Clinton in a Brooks Brothers Suit

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Replacing one flake with another. – Those of you who were despairing over the retirement of Jeff Flake from the U.S. Senate (yes, all three of you) had reason to cheer on Tuesday, because a white RINO knight rode in to fill the void.

His name is Mitt. He hails from Utah. He is a RINO like no other RINO – the only living RINO who ran such a feckless presidential campaign that he ensured a second term in office for America’s Worst Mistake, Barack Hussein Obama.

Combining all the most detestable traits of the RINO community – disloyalty, venality, massive hubris and an unending willingness to consort with the enemy for self-aggrandizement – Mitt authored a hit piece aimed at President Donald Trump in one of the nation’s foremost anti-Trump fake news organs, the Washington Post. In it, the two-time loooooooooser in presidential politics said that Mr. Trump “has not risen to the mantle of the office.” Hashtag, irony.

Romney went on to signal that he will be every bit as disloyal to the GOP cause as was his philosophical doppelganger, Flake: “I will support policies that I believe are in the best interest of the country and my state, and oppose those that are not.” In RINO-speak, this means that he will be just another shill for the open borders policies favored by the Wall Street Journal and Chamber of Commerce, and a supporter of U.S. involvement in unending civil wars in a variety of nations across the Middle East and Africa. Bill Kristol and Jonah Goldberg will be thrilled.

Mind you, Romney was thrilled to have Donald Trump’s endorsement during his failed presidential run in 2012, and was just fine with having a widely-publicized private dinner with then-President Elect Trump in his quest to gain the appointment as Secretary of State. Classically typical of any RINO, Romney’s “principles” are extremely malleable.

So, no surprises here – same old Mitt Romney. If you liked Mitt in 2012, you will absolutely love him in 2019, as he becomes a safe 48th vote in the Senate on key issues for the Democrat Party. As one writer headlined, “Mitt Romney Just Joined the Resistance.” He’s Hillary Clinton in a Brooks Brothers suit.

Refusing to take the bait… – This morning, President Donald Trump (I never tire of typing those three glorious words) had a policy-focused response to Romney’s taunt:

Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump Here we go with Mitt Romney, but so fast! Question will be, is he a Flake? I hope not. Would much prefer that Mitt focus on Border Security and so many other things where he can be helpful. I won big, and he didn’t. He should be happy for all Republicans. Be a TEAM player & WIN!

34.9K 6:53 AM - Jan 2, 2019 Twitter Ads info and privacy 19.4K people are talking about this Twitter Ads info and privacy Fauxcahontas has a clear [war]path to the Democrat nomination. – The fake Indian senator from Massachusetts chose New Year’s Day to formally announce her run for the presidency, informing her mostly wealthy, white-bread supporters that she has formed an exploratory committee in that regard. She will now begin the process of raising big wampum for her campaign, including travels to early primary states like Iowa and New Hampshire where she will smoke the peace pipe around many campfires with her party’s local chiefs and high muckety-mucks.

Her campaign got off to a very Michael-Dukakis-riding-in-a-tank start with the release of the video below, which includes a tense hug with her husband, a struggle to pop the top on a bottle of beer, and some cooking, all very odd signals for a supposed leftwing feminist to be sending:

Embedded video

Stephanie Hamill ✔ @STEPHMHAMILL Can you handle the CRINGE??? Here's Fake Native American Elizabeth Warren pretending to be 'one of us' by robotically drinking a beer. My Question for you is: Who's more Robotic .. Hillary Clinton or Warren? Also, where's the POW WOW CHOW in this video ?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 #Warren2020

If you look closely, you might also notice what appears for all the world to be a figurine of “Sambo” atop the cabinet directly behind the civil rights crusader’s head. You seriously cannot make this stuff up.

Somebody needs to tell Mitt that Mac has already been replaced and America has no room for his virtue signaling.

It wouldn’t surprise me to see him jump into the presidential race as a democrat.

Mitt Romney is invested in the decline and ultimate failure of the United States.

Literally

He wants a return on his investment

Definitely could. My thought was that his stab in the back was his “bona fide” marker such that if Trump didn’t run in 2020, was very vulnerable, etc., (none of which I believe will happen) that he has his spot in the field on the GOPe side.

I know what I’m about to comment here may not be the best analogy but remember after the Gulf War when GHW’s approval was in the low 90s? A LOT of Dems didn’t even bother pursuing the Dem nomination, particularly Mario Cuomo (who likely regretted that decision to his dying day). They ceded the field and Clinton swooped in. Could be that Romney is calculating that this is a cheap bet with no or little downside.

My 1 1/2 cents,

It’s too late for this election, you suppose this might wake the dead? Six years is a long time in political history, but will not span the potential eight years of President Trump. At some point Mitt has to see the handwriting on the wall, or get the boot, or shudder, be vindicated at the next presidential election. At this point, I don’t put much stock in “We the People” making righteous decisions. We shall see, one way or another. Hoping for a positive reality to come.

Romney will vote the GOP agenda 75-85 percent of the time. He will frustrate us on some issues. What will cause fireworks, however, is that he won't join the cult of personality, won't be cowed by Trump's blustering, and -- with a possible eye out for a future presidential run -- will criticize Trump from time to time. Trump demands unwavering obedience, which is a problem for many on the Hill because Trump is so unpredictable. Romney won't play that game.

Trump would be smart not to get into a spitting match with Romney. I don't know if Trump is capable of it, but he should, for once, rise above the fray. Romney can't be bullied. He's a billionaire and is even more of a self-made man than is Trump. (Both were born into privilege.) He has far more political experience. He has a clean personal record, and doesn't need to defend payoffs to porn stars.

Yes, he's to the left of the Republican caucus on some issues, but don't turn him into a pariah. Turn him into an ally by finding areas to work together. He's to the right of Susan Collins; put him informally in charge of keeping her in line. (Remember that RINO Susan Collins saved the Kavanaugh nomination.) If Trump is smart, he could reach out to Romney and invite him to join the Washington teetotalers caucus, with monthly luncheons rotating between the Hill and the White House. It would be a small group.

Both of your comments are pretty blatant lies at worst, and bad deception at best.

There is one man that speaks for the Church, that would be Russell M. Nelson. I am confident you will never find a quote from him that will confirm your attempted deception.

The Church has nothing to gain by open borders, any more than any other Church. The only thing protecting the Church is that God given Constitution, recognizing the Rule of Law and protections enumerated in the Bill of Rights.

Mitt Romney was stupidly elected by the people of Utah. Stupidity happens despite reality, but he is one of 535, and has zero chance of influencing an open borders policy if he was that stupid to begin with.

The Church itself believes in the rule of law. I would think member in good standing, as far as I know, Mitt Romney would be a vocal proponent of the same. We shall see.
