Somebody needs to tell Mitt that Mac has already been replaced and America has no room for his virtue signaling.

(There is no great virtue in bargaining with the Devil)
Combining all the most detestable traits of the RINO community disloyalty, venality, massive hubris and an unending willingness to consort with the enemy for self-aggrandizement Mitt authored a hit piece aimed at President Donald Trump in one of the nations foremost anti-Trump fake news organs, the Washington Post. In it, the two-time loooooooooser in presidential politics said that Mr. Trump has not risen to the mantle of the office. Hashtag, irony.

Mitt Romney is invested in the decline and ultimate failure of the United States.
He wants a return on his investment

Remember back when we were all telling ourselves that Mitt Romney was the best we could do?

(Make America Great Again, and Keep It That Way.)
Romney will vote the GOP agenda 75-85 percent of the time. He will frustrate us on some issues. What will cause fireworks, however, is that he won't join the cult of personality, won't be cowed by Trump's blustering, and -- with a possible eye out for a future presidential run -- will criticize Trump from time to time. Trump demands unwavering obedience, which is a problem for many on the Hill because Trump is so unpredictable. Romney won't play that game.
Trump would be smart not to get into a spitting match with Romney. I don't know if Trump is capable of it, but he should, for once, rise above the fray. Romney can't be bullied. He's a billionaire and is even more of a self-made man than is Trump. (Both were born into privilege.) He has far more political experience. He has a clean personal record, and doesn't need to defend payoffs to porn stars.
Yes, he's to the left of the Republican caucus on some issues, but don't turn him into a pariah. Turn him into an ally by finding areas to work together. He's to the right of Susan Collins; put him informally in charge of keeping her in line. (Remember that RINO Susan Collins saved the Kavanaugh nomination.) If Trump is smart, he could reach out to Romney and invite him to join the Washington teetotalers caucus, with monthly luncheons rotating between the Hill and the White House. It would be a small group.

(Our next president is going to be sooooo boring.)
He hails from Utah.
I guess, sort of, at the moment. He will now be living in DC. He was raised in Michigan and spent a lot of his adult life in Massachusetts, with an apartment in Boston and a weekend place in New Hampshire. But for a long time his primary residence appeared to be in La Jolla, CA. Apart from attending BYU, his Utah connection appears to be more through his kids and religion.
