Good info, thanks.
Another factor (for some of us): In my area the LCP II is going for $140 an the old LCP is $110.
We disagree on that one detail. I like SA/DA, but not DA only. I also don't go to ugly places, so I am comfortable with an empty chamber and the minor delay to rack the slide.
Yep, and you might be able to find a barely used early LCP for really cheap, since lots of people upgraded to the later LCP (known as “Gen 2” but not to be confused with the LCPII) when they updated the trigger.
I think there are a lot of guys that won't talk about what they're no longer capable of, so I look for photos that relates a hand to the gun
Do you carry yours in a soft pocket holster?
Nope, just straight in my pocket. I have a soft pocket holster but I never use it.
BTW, I’ve got the later version LCP. Even though its trigger is less work than the early version, it’s still far from a hair trigger. You have to be really intentional to make it fire.
The Tomcat is heavy for a .380. Bought one for the wife, its now in the safe. Keltec and a lightweight .38 special are her favs.
Ok. Good to go. I am going to play with a few and see how they feel. Also looking at a Kel Tec P32.
Okay, good luck with it!

If you wear a parka and stay away from the 50 round drums, this won’t print too badly.
Punks are getting pretty brazen. The other day, I was going into the Dollar Store, and some girl...with two teen boys...asked if she could have some of my money. She was probably twenty feet from me. She looked to be about 16, so I didn’t say what first came to mind as a smart ass response. As I walked away, one of the boys was angling toward me, and said, in a voice loud enough to hear, but far enough away not to be a threat “If I want some of your money, I’ll take it.” This is a bad town to try something like that in. I don’t think the kids have a clue how many folks carry.
Somalians’?
The .308 round has ultimate stopping power but I am not sure I would want to shoot one out of a handgun.
All the weapons listed are good pocket pistols. I prefer the S&W Model 642 or Model 36 in the J Frame series. However if you are willing to look and spend the money the Colt Detective Special give you 6 rounds of .38Spl.
Auto wise I have carried a Kel-tec P32 for 18 yrs and it is my go to pocket auto. I have been experimenting with a Taurus TCP .380 but have not found a pocket holster I am comfortable with for that particular piece as the two I have tried do not cover the trigger enough to suit me.
No. White kids. This is a lily-white area of Oregon.

Doesn’t mean if worse came to worse my late husband’s 9 mm Rugger won’t come out of the gun safe. I might regret trying to use it, but would in a pinch or the shot gun. I might have to take it to the gun shop to be cleaned but better safe than sorry. Biggest worry would be a broken hand. Da$n FDA drugs ruined my bones.
Feral Yuts,
Dang.
Mouthy punks. There used to be an older guy that hung around the local fishing lake. He was kind of a blade nut. He said he was walking around the lake one day and some punk half-jokingly asked him what he’d do if he asked him for his wallet. The guy pulled a knife and said “I’m not sure. Ask.” Kid ran away.
In the budget department: Bulgarian makarov. Just my 2 cents.

I had an LCR. It stings to shoot. Every one of my shooting buddies said the same thing. It stings to shoot. My neighbor has an LCR 357, which is much better loaded with 38s. Perfect size, and always ready to shoot.
